KEVIN!! Give us some more of the classic country songs!! Some of us (especially us gals) often play the tenor ukulele with a low G tuning because it's easier on our small hands and arms (I'm 5ft) but it seems like no one does the classic country songs, or if they do, they're not all that good... I'd sure give a lot to have a tutorial from you on how to play "Fishin' in the Dark" by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band for starters. Pretty pleeeeeaassse!!?

I’m 65 and I was in love with John Denver in college!!!! So this is the perfect first song for me to start my Ukelele adventure! Thanks for the good lesson.PS I just got my first Uke last week during quarantine boredom. Never played one before, just piano. You make it easy!

Am 68, ditto above! Great tutorial!! I was following along playing air uke and doing the chords with you. Just retired (RN), now a little arthritis both hands, so the more movement, the better. My uke should be delivered today! Guess I'll start with how to tune up.❣Patay

wow amazing lesson.. one thing i would like to add in it... this is discovered by experimentation... in the end of chorus you can quickly switch 3 chords to get a much more cohesive sound I'll explain how Here's the last line of chorus: G D West Virginia, Mountain Mama Em C D G Take me home, country roads Here when you hit Ho sound in home you switch to em, then strum the C and D chords once in quick succession and then follow it up with normal strumming of G for country roads

You BLEW my mind with that trick for switching from G to Em. I have avoided so many songs because of that switch. It has just seemed too darn hard for me to accomplish. I don't use my fourth finger too often either, so this will definitely take some coordination practice, but I am stoked!! Thanks!
