Take-off of the B-25 Mitchell of the Royal Netherlands Historic Flight from Teuge Airport. It visited Teuge after doing some flypasts in the neighbourhood over war monuments celebrating 70 years of freedom in the Netherlands

I cannot imagine the bravery of those Doolittle Raiders that morning. Loaded down in what was essentially a flying gas can with extra fuel, very little flight deck and piss poor weather that day knowing that they were still 600+ miles from Japan with even further distance to get to China once they dropped their ordnance. Essentially a suicide mission, I would not be worthy of shaking hands with any of these fine men. 78 years later, with the advances in technology, these men did it on sheer determination aided by only one of the most reliable planes that could have done this mission. One of the truly greatest military missions in world history.....

Classic Raiders takeoff. I love it. We tried it once in the B-25H, but our takeoff was a little bit longer than expected
