Bit too fast what comes to acclimatisation. In 1985 I hiked from Dingpoche over Amphu Labtsa to Mera La, from there only 4 hours to summit and 4 down to Thagnak. Only 7 days Digpoche - Lukla. Secret: excellently acclimated, walking was fast and easy. No Any kind of tourist services anywhere, Khare did not exist, one yak herder hut at Thagnak. Agencies like to arrange fast climbs; cheaper and trekkers have not enough time, also the possibility to make scam helicopter rescues which bring in much more money than honest treks. One small detail: learn how to wrap the trekking pole strap correctly: hand in from under, strap between palm and grip, over the back of hand. 200% more agility and power without need to squeeze the grip at all.
