Faker (guy with the glasses) is basically the Michael Jordan of LoL. He's an iconic player with a huge legacy, so even when he's under-performing or doesn't make it to worlds (like this year), people still hold a lot of respect for him. He's inspired a large number of pro players and has become ingrained into League culture, which is why he's shown up in so many of the cinematics. The cinematic represents this by having the main character be mentored by Faker, and him watching Worlds at the end of the cinematic is a nod at the fact that he didn't make it this year, but is watching players inspired by his legacy.

The main character is a random guy that Faker takes under his wing, Faker gives him a token that gets him into the world championships, and to win the tournament he has to take down all of the previous world champions. The first guy he encounters is xPeke from Fnatic playing kassadin, who won the first world championship in 2011. Then he encounters Mata from Samsung White playing Thresh, who won season 4 of worlds in 2014. After that, he encounters Jakeylove from Invictus Gaming playing Xayah, who won season 8 of worlds in 2018. Next is Galio which I think is Crown form Samsung Galaxy, who won season 7 of worlds in 2017. Then he encounters Bebe from Taipei Assassins playing Caitlyn, who won season 2 of worlds in 2012. After that we see a spear coming down from the sky and that is a reference to Bengi from SKT T1 playing Jarvan IV, who won 3 world championships in 2013, 2015, and 2016. Last he faces off against Tian from Fun PlusPhoenix playing Lee Sin, who won season 9 of worlds in 2019. Then he goes to the final against the girl. The glasses guy is Faker, and he’s taking on the role of a coach in this video. Faker is the greatest LOL player ever. He’s so well known for always surviving impossible fights in the game that people call him the Unkillable Demon King. He’s won 3 world championships and is kinda like the Michael Jordan of league. However, he’s a little past his prime, and he didn’t make it to worlds this year. Nowadays he seems to be slowly transitioning into a leadership or coaching role, and this video actually reflects that. Each of the people the kid fights are previous world champions, and they fight with weapons from their most iconic champions. The video revolves around the theme of younger talent moving beyond the legendary champions of the past, and cementing their spots in history.

Carlo Epure-Tofanel Dopa has never played in worlds once. He has never proved himself on the highest professional level. All he does is spam solo queue. Playing on a professional stage is an entirely different experience. Faker was much more dangerous and serious on a professional stage, and you have to use more than just god tier mechanics. There’s different comms and roles. There’s much more complex team play and macro. His Kass and TF would probably get banned. Dopa damn well might be the most mechanically skilled player of all time, but there’s always that little bit of doubt because he just wants to smurf solo queue. Maybe he is the greatest player ever, but imo this is comparing apples and oranges. I have nothing but respect for Dopa. However I was focusing on the pros in the video (Faker was the one in this video ffs), and Dopa has no interest in professional play. I also have no real interest in arguing about who’s better, because neither player takes the other’s “stage” that seriously. Dopa couldn’t care less about professional play these days, and Faker doesn’t try hard in every solo queue game. This argument is like trying to argue Jordan vs Lebron if Lebron never cared enough to play in the NBA.

The thesis of this song is entirely about the new players, the up and comers, coming in and taking over for the long lived veterans of the game that have been in the scene for 5+ years. The individuals that the protagonist is fighting are veterans of the game, even the guy that gave the gem to him is a veteran. "We're taking over" is about the new blood. The new HAWTNESS players. It's also why all of the older players (the ones the protag is fighting) are smiling when he finally beats them. They're proud that there is new talent that is strong enough to challenge and finally defeat the veterans. They're Taking Over.

Easier to find are for example "guy in glasses" is Faker (legend, only player that won world championship 3 times). In this video, he is basically teaching/training some unknown begginer. Didn't finish the video but I had to put it. Here comes the annual worlds song and this is a passing of the tourch type hommage. Guy who helps guide our nameless protagonist is Faker, the GOAT of LoL, he was in Rise and Pheonix. He's helping out the protagonist in a sort of Rocky montage. Faker won World championship in 2013, 2015, and 2016. with SK Telecom (Now known as T1) First guy the protagonist faces is Xpeke who has won the 2011 Worlds with Fnatic, the very first one, he's in purple and and teleports with a blade symbolizing his go to champion Kassadin. You'll see a theme where Ex world champions are represented by their Go to champion (Faker is the exception). Up next we have Mata who won the world championship in 2014 with Samsung Galaxy and is playing his go to thresh The third we don't see but the logo of his team is on the right, it's JackieLove playing his go to at the time Xayah, he won in 2018 with Invictus Gaming Fourth is Crown playing Galio (We only see the silouhette), he won in 2017 with Samsung Galaxy Then we have Caitlyn's gun in the shot, with the Logo of Taipei assassin's on it, This was Bebe's representation as he won in 2012 with the Assassins as the underdogs that year You'll recognize the spear/javelin thing from the character Jarvin IV, but the player it represents is Bengi, who with Faker, won worlds in 2013, 2015, and 2016 on SK Telecom The guy in the Blind fold is Tian from Fun Plus Pheonix, they won the 2019 world championship, and Tian is represented here as playing the blind monk Lee Sin Some of them are more obvious than others, but the team logo for each player is on screen (Either as a blur and you need to pause) or pretty obvious as the player and the logo being right there Out of all the real world players in this story only JackieLove is returning to play at worlds (On Top esports now), and the only team to return is Fnatic (and Gen G if you consider them to be a successor to Samsung galaxy) Every time a player is defeated and we can see their face, they smile as a symbolic passing the tourch Other fun things, very famous players like Sneaky, Imaqtpie, MadLife, Uzi(He was in Rise with the hand crossbow), are in the chat room in some scenes encouraging the protagonist This honestly put me to tears the amount of details in this video Some of my favorite include, the shop the protagonist enters saying Demon King (Hommage to Faker the GOAT), the subtle placements of the winning team logos, The fact that the first one we see in a champion is Xpeke playing one of his most Iconic champions Also, and I haven't seen it on any social, but in the first 5 seconds or so, on a wall is a poster of a new champion???? Hey Scru, love your reactions on league man. Back story. The guy in the hood/glasses is Faker. Probably one of the best if not the best to play the game and this is one of the few times he hasn’t gone to worlds. His nickname is “The Unkillable Demon King”, so the place they go to The Demon King is a nod as well. At the end it shows Faker watching worlds on his phone bc like I said. One of first years in a while he hasn’t gone. But since he’s the best he still has major part in worlds vid.

The protagonist doesn’t have a name, the one that gave him the gem is called T1 Faker, he also appeared as the final boss in “Rise” . The person with the violet blade is xPeke, a former pro (now retired, owns his own professional team tho) and the guy with red blindfold is FPX Tian, a proefessional olayer who won Worlds last year.
