My father passed away in car accident with his mother my grandmother I went to her house a few days later to sort things out I found a tube that looked worn and a box that would hold jewelry I opened it it was a Purple Heart I opened the tube it was a letter from the president and the Purple Heart poster. The letter said d day invasion body never recovered. I grew up my whole life and my father and grand mother never said one word about that. There was one picture of him sitting on a horse with no saddle on the farm in Georgia.these men are the true hero’s in my mind. I was angry they never told me growing up I was related to a real hero I think of him everyday. But I think in those days it hurt them so bad they never talked about the real hero’s and people that kept their memories and mouth shut the fk up.

It is actually a sad testament that there are so many Americans that need this motivation. We in the military get the training and are in contact with purposeful people daily, especially when we are in a combat operations, but even training for those operations is rigorous and demands focus. It says something for mandatory military service. The bad outweighs the good with that option though. Bottom line, it is a sad state of affairs here in this once great country. God Bless everyone.

All you guys in military don’t realize you are fodder for the politicians when your young and immortal as you get too old and your body is worn out you start gabbing an$ want to tell the whole world how great you are. All the soldiers even up to jet am kept their mouths shut. My wife was a secretary for a orange juice company in Florida back in 1980 and she said her boss was a ww2 vet. One day her car broke so I took her to work and when I picked her up at 5 pm I walked into the building and the reception gal said go on in the office. Their sat a tall wirery man talking to my wife and I saw a P51 picture with him standing on the wing. It was him I talked to him a bit he had a stare of time in war and a very humble vibe of tuffness. Sorta of a quite vibe that he really would not like to talk about ww2. Not like today
