Yes the methodology was borne out of my own frustration with its global adjustment tools. This method is best for dark foreground with bright background or night shots. 😊

You jumped the most difficult, but also possible the best, Tone Curve adjustment.

You are right. While I really dont enjoy using curves it should have been there!

@@takebetterphotos8132 It's a lot simpler in PL8 with the Histogram behind the Tone Curve and the Tone Picker. It's also the new Linear tone curve I believe only affects luminosity.

HDR Backlit preset seems to be the best so I am going to give this a try. Thanks very much ~~_/)_~~
