They're a little harder to maintain than the stainless cladding but the Classic kurouchi really looks cool.

i have the same knife, which i bought from you (chef's knives to go) a few years ago👍 it's ugly but has very hard steel and stays sharp for a long time. i just finished sharpening it about 2 hours ago with my new tormek t-8. tough steel to grind, so i had to use the 360 grit diamond wheel to start with, then 1200, then 4000. accidentally scratched its surface above the bevel, and out came shiny silver which wasn't too bad, so i intentionally scratched the other side to make it look even. have to say, i like the new look 🤣

yeah anyone who values a sharp knife doesn't use the cutting edge to scrape the board. just makes the need of resharpening way more often. i know from experience. i sharpened my father in laws knife for him cause he complained it was dull. got it to around shaving sharp and within a day it lost that cause i noticed he does that.

this knife is way out of your skill level my man. get your knife skills up before dropping $400+ on a knife.

+whoisthatguy1000 your analogy makes no sense what so ever. why the hell would anyone learn how to drive a car in a supercar? they wouldn't be able to handle it with any efficiency since his technical skills would be so poor. the same goes with knife skills. when you have shit technique, regardless if the knife is blue #2 or a fucking wusthof, the cut is going to be bad. you and your fuckboy logic.

+whoisthatguy1000 Yes you do. If you can't push a Honda to it's limit then how can you even approach what a ferrari can do. I own this knife, and the guy in the video needs to step his game up.

Stop everyone, knife skills grow with time and also not with the wrong knife. Everyone buy the 1st time a much larger and higher knife, needs time to get used to and develope the right skillz for it. This knife is a great tool, as long people do not cut themselfs and try to use them right everything is fine. Also his knife skillz are not that bad at all, the blade is made and great for chopping techs and this is what was shown.
