Taken Where You Don’t Want to Go

"God -- I don't like where you are taking me."
Sometimes we need to know that seemingly negative experiences are necessary to take us to where God wants us to go. God has a plan to refine us that may be very uncomfortable. But revelation requires revolution and pain.
This was Peter's experience. Church history tells us that Peter ended his life by being crucified upside down, as Jesus had predicted. Jesus says, "Follow me", even through suffering and stretching.
What will be your reaction when God takes you to places you don't want to go?

Awesome word Pastor Dave. I definitely know and understand being taken to a place that stretches us beyond our understanding. Through those times my relationship with Jesus Christ was incredible and it still is. My trust and belief in Him has increased which allowed me to follow Him where He leads. He heals, restores and Blesses regardless of what man says or statistics state. When Jesus broke the bands of suffering, despair, grief, pain, loss and anger from my heart, He set me free to follow Him into a new journey with Him and the woman of God He set me with. Most did not respond well to the decisions I made because they were risky and against all odds. Odds that man has and fears do not shake nor hinder Jesus Christ. With Him, He breaks all odds and opens doors no man can shut. Know that my life is in His hands and Carla and I have an incredible relationship together and with Him. I do miss Reveal and all my brothers and sisters who were there for me through the worst challenges I have ever faced in my life. I love you all and though apart my heart is filled with love and gratitude for each one of you. One day we will rejoice together when we are in His presence forever. In the mean time may you walk in peace, let Jesus out of the box and get ready for time runs short.
