I spent a nice evening flying the 150 out of a grass strip in northwest Ohio. Enjoyed some nice company in the pattern at Suburban.

I used to have a '63 C150-C and loved that little plane. It really liked to fly and so did I.

I’m 6’4” and was flying a 150F for a while lol. By myself yeah it’s not bad at all, snug but not bad.

I have not seen a straight 150 with skylights in quite a while. It was a option on the regular 150's, but stock on all the Aerobats.

Stumbled upon your video. Two questions. 1. Why are you sitting there holding the brakes while you scroll through your checklist with the tach reading 1300 RPM? The little Continental O200A idles very nicely at 700 to 800RPM. Is there a reason you need to keep the engine revved up that high while setting up the cockpit? Excessive RPM operation on the ground when not moving causes unnecessary abrasion of the prop leading edges and can certainly contribute to adverse effects to anybody unlucky enough to be behind you. And 2. How about mounting the camera anywhere but on your head. I was getting "seasick" just watching this! Anyway, thanks for sharing. "Mike" Kelly "Old School" Aviator and CFI.

I'm 6'2" and I sit very comfortable in the 150. One of the best planes Cessna ever built.

That's cool. A 150 with skylights that's not a Aerobat. That was an option, you just don't see that many around.

How many degrees of flaps did you leave in to take off?
@RabbitusMaximus5 жыл бұрын
thx. caught it second time around. same as in my 150 POH :)

Did you just put flaps up while 50kts IAS and 10 degrees turn? That could have been fatal movement.

Hey Tim! Great video. I can’t help but notice the clear voice with no engine sound in the background. What did you use to isolate the sound of the voice?

Mount your camera inside the plane head mount is just too much movement nice air strip lots of wide open space where you can set it down if the engine ever fails on take off.
