Nice intro with the Lindsey Stirling Flight song!! Good choice!!
@sla316 жыл бұрын
Thanks David. I used this song for my intro/outro for quite some time. I have since changed it, but it served the channel well! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment my friend!

I grew up in Kona and remember when there were no direct flights from the mainland. So nice now not to have to stop in HNL.

Thanks for watching my friend! KOA has definitely come a long way in recent years! AA is even flying direct to Kona from DFW now. It's a great time for KOA.

How long is it?
@sla315 жыл бұрын
This flight, believe it or not, was actually exactly 5 hours long. Thanks for watching my friend!
@Pandacapricorn9 жыл бұрын
how was your flight experience? was the seat comfortable during the 5 hours flight?
@sla319 жыл бұрын
+Pandacapricorn I enjoyed it. I have flown to Hawaii on American several times now including on their 767-300, 757-200, and now the new A321. As far as economy goes the A321 was definitely the best of those three. I think the new economy seats on the A321s are actually really comfortable. You can find the same new economy seats on all of Americans new aircraft including the A319s, 777-300s, 787s, and 737-800s. If you are looking at first class though that's a whole different story. Even though the 767-300s are seriously out of date when it comes to their cabins you still can't beat the fully lie flat seats you get in first class as compared to the regular "larger" with a little more recline seats you get on the 757s, and A321s. If you are looking to go to Hawaii on American you'll have several options. You can get their through Dallas (DFW), Phoenix (PHX), and Los Angeles (LAX). You'll have the most options from LAX. Here are the cities American serves from DFW/PHX/LAX, as well as the aircraft you'll get out of each. Dallas - Honolulu/Kahului Phoenix - Honolulu/Kahului/Lihue/Kona Los Angeles - Honolulu/Kahului/Lihue/Kona Dallas - Boeing 767-300 Phoenix - Boeing 757-200 (old US Airways aircraft) Los Angeles - Airbus A321-200 It has generally been my experience flying American so much that it's best to avoid the old US Airways aircraft... US Airways generally tired to fit more seats on their planes. The seats aren't as nice, and do not recline as much as Americans... So I would tend to use PHX as a last resort. Go for LAX if you're looking for economy seats, and go for DFW if you're wanting to spend the money on first class.

Can you recall if the Wi-Fi worked onboard? I know the aircraft are equipped but do they get service?
@sla318 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not. The wifi on AAs A321s works off a ground based system. So over the Pacific it doesn't work. They do give you a large variety of free movies and TV shows to watch though. So it's kind of a compromise.
@shreykathuria55079 жыл бұрын
Was the entertainment free? If not, that's bad.
@sla319 жыл бұрын
+Shrey Kathuria Select entertainment is free. Like the NBC on American episodes, and various music. If you want to select from the large number of individual tv shows and movies it's like $4.

Did that woman talk the whole five hours?
@sla318 жыл бұрын
Thankfully no. 25A is a great economy seat on American's A321s as there is no seat in front of you, so you can stretch out. However, this means the flight attendant jumpsuit is right across from you. Most of the talking you hear is of other passengers conversing with the flight attendant when she was seated, which was just for takeoff and landing.

Very terrible for a flight for Hawaii? That sure is unacceptable. Flight is like 7 hours. I feel bad for you.

All the times I've flown to Hawaii from lax it has been 5hours 45 mins
@sla318 жыл бұрын
Yeah I would agree. I've flown to various cities in Hawaii from LAX, and the flights are closer to 5 hours 30 minutes than 7 hours. With the prevailing winds they are even quicker coming back.
