Can you do a video on setting Ecamm with your StreamDeck or Loupedeck, how you route cameras etc? I like your channel and ideas on software (SideNotes for example) and so on - subscribed.

Sorry for the VERY late reply, Mike! For some reason this comment had been caught in the 'held for review' section of the comments, and I missed it!! I do have a video specifically on how I'm using Stream Deck and Loupe Deck with Ecamm Live... you can find that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWauf56lpcZpqa8

Wish I would've seen this before starting OBS. I have OBS running, but now wondering if I'd be better off switching over. I too have an older Mac and OBS is good, but I have to lower my output settings significantly in order to stream anything without skipping. This is at the loss of graphic quality. Thanks for the video. I have a late 2013 MacBook pro, but with 8GB of RAM so I'm on a very limited resource and borrowed time.

Hi, I made all of the videos on my Channel and Late 2013 MacBook Pro until I got a Mac Mini about 3 weeks ago. I found it fine for Ecamm Live and making my videos. The limitation that I had was when I started having guests on my livestreams. Each guest is additional processing that is needed on the computer... one guest was fine, but two or above and I started getting audio syncing issues. I'd certainly recommend giving Ecamm a go though... you can get a free trial using my link: www.takeonetech.io/ecamm The beauty of Ecamm Live is that it does not take a whole lot of time to get it all setup as the learning curve is nowhere near as steep as with OBS. It shouldn't take long to replicate what you had in OBS and then evaluate the quality of the output.

@@TakeOneTech Thanks. After watching one of your other videos I think I might hold out for Wirecast as it seems to be able to do more of I'm doing now and is more optimized for Mac if I understood correctly.

Great video. Really appreciate the ECAMM demo. Does ECAMM have the feature where KZbin users can donate during a live stream? Thank you.

Fantastic video. I’m demoing Ecamm Live now and love it compared to OBS. I have almost the most powerful iMac with tons of RAM and the fans run almost constantly. Same thing happens in OBS. Do you have that problem as well? Fortunately the noise doesn’t get picked up from my mic.
@TakeOneTech2 жыл бұрын
I used to have my fans running on my old Mac laptop (the one I was using when I made that video). In my case the mic did pick up that fan noise, but I used Audio Hijack for noise cancellation and filtered it out pretty effectively. There are third party applications you can get to control the fans and turn them down, but personally I wouldn’t recommend them…. They are there for a reason and if the Mac has decided it needs to cool down by firing up the fans, then I’m not going to argue with it! I upgraded to an M series Mac mini a few months back and got to say it is silent! Amazing much further ahead of intel Macs they are in that respect…. bit of a long answer there!!! In summary, if you’re fans are running, but the noise isn’t getting picked up by your mic, then it’s not a problem…. Just the Mac trying to keep cool to run optimally 🙂

@@TakeOneTech how did you use audiohijack or other to do noise reduction live? I know Ecamm doesn't have that built in?

Does Ecamm offer a way to use an iPhone as your camera similar to the OBS virtual camera?
@zwurltube40873 жыл бұрын
Hi Alec, if you look at the latest video on my channel, is it possible to create a scene like this? That are two iPhones as cameras and the screen of an iPad. I did this with OBS, but my M1-Macbook runs really hot...

Yes it would be possible to recreate that with Ecamm, no problem. 😊

Can you react to KZbin videos with ecam?
@TakeOneTech3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can react to KZbin videos with Ecamm... you would use the Screen Sharing feature in Ecamm to show the video playing in KZbin and then the camera overlay feature to add your camera image over the top. If you wanted you could also add graphical overlay over to top of everything to make it look even neater. (PS Sorry for the late response - comment was held for review and I didn't notice!!). Have a great day 🙏😊

Question: Does this work as plug and play for the El Gato HD60S? When I use it in OBS for Mac it isn't usable after 30 minutes because of the OBS Link workaround since it doesn't register as a capture card and has to be sourced as an NDI source.
@TakeOneTech3 жыл бұрын
I haven't personally used the Elgato HD50S, but I do know that a high proportion of Ecamm user are using the Elgato Camlink 4K.... So my thought maybe that if Elgato products in general are a good fit with Ecamm Live. There is a really great Ecamm Live Facebook group though, so definitely pop the question in there too and I'm sure you''ll get some more informed answers to this question. 😊 facebook.com/groups/ecammlive

@@TakeOneTech Thanks for the response. I emailed Ecamm Live sales (which replied VERY fast) and they told me that the plug-in is still necessary. I ended up buying the HD60S+ since it seems to be unavoidable with the HD60S, but thanks for the link.
