The analogy is false Don Rickles: the Authority of the Modern Secular State is derived from a Constitution, written by people. Thus it is recognized that the State is fallible and can be changed, if not overthrown. The same cannot be said of a Theocracy whose authority is derived from an infallible higher power. Any change will require taking levity with the scripture or risk the incumbent authorities.

This was interesting to watch, Zakaria and Omar come from the tradition of Mohamed Ibn Abdul Wahab, whereas Mostafa comes from the European philosophical tradition. They can't see eye to eye because these guys dont understand philosophy and Mostafa doesn't really understand Islamic theology (however he is clearly learned about Islam). Omar laughed when Mostafa said his grandfather was an Azhari sheikh and asked Mostafa if his grandfather was an Ashari as if Asharis are some heretical sect when in fact they make up the bulk of the Ummah alongside the Maturidis. Wahabis (and I dislike this term) are puritanical literalists and are therefore they stay ready to excommunicate Muslims from the faith, they do this by asking you a question and if you say the wrong answer they call you a Murtad. The Uncle with the grey hair had wisdom and manners Omar didn't.

(41) The Day the shin will be uncovered and they are invited to prostration but the disbelievers will not be able, (42) Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound. (43) So leave Me, [O Muhammad], with [the matter of] whoever denies the Qur'an. We will progressively lead them [to punishment] from where they do not know. (44) And I will give them time. Indeed, My plan is firm. (45) Or do you ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? (46) Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? (47) Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed. (48) If not that a favor from his Lord overtook him, he would have been thrown onto the naked shore while he was censured. (49) And his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous. (50) And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes when they hear the message, and they say, "Indeed, he is mad." (51) But it is not except a reminder to the worlds. I am not sure what this gentleman's name is. I am not a Muslim, but what he tried to convey resonated with me. He was logical and reasonable. I think he was trying to show that there is a higher standard, what I would say is a more spiritual element to things. He seemed to be saying that there is more to "it" than just rules. I appreciated that. I think that the NT says that one can "strain at a knat, and swallow a camel." Meaning that we are looking at the things that may not be as important at times. At least that is how I understand the saying.

It is a fact that if USA never invaded Iraq or Afghanistan, then they would not have inspired people to join Al-Qa'ida and Isis. Did you know that the first thing the US did when invaded Afghanistan is take over the opium fields? Making billions annually. Always ask why until things start to make some sense. Money have always been the motivation for both the new hungry victims who lost they homes and feel they have no other options but to join Isis who promises everything to them, and to the united States who need more resources to keep the banks off their back.

I feel sorry for Mustafa, he is an intelligent and truthful muslim man that argues with donkeys. They contadict themselves all the time. "Nothing is left out of the 'book'" = correct, and then they say "so and so said that" and "so and so said this". "You have to do this and you have to do that" Quran says "la ikraha fee deen". "You are a murtad and kafir because this and this" Quran instructs us "to you is your way to me is mine". They say "We will defend this and that if they make fun of us" (classic tribal behaviour) Quran instructs us "Avoid the ignorant with gracious avoidance". This is what happens to man when he fears men more than God and follows them like a sheep, this is what happens when people don't care anymore about the word of God and they follow not the simple truth but conjure. Then they go to the madhab topic, even further deviation. This is the destiny of a people deaf, dumb and blind. They live until they go deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole forever or by the grace of God finally come to their senses. They ask about the family, because they fear men more than God and want to remain part of a sect. If they truly believe in their sunnah books and don't care at all about the only sunnah of the Quran, the sunnah of God then they should probably join ISIS or something, for real, but their only excuse to that is that ISIS or so has no official recognition to enforce anything. This is their level, they don't have any other problem. Apart from an official power recognition, there is no change at all. Or are they the munafiqun now?? It is so funny and tragic at the same time. Laugh or cry, what should one do with such people.
