I drove one a little older on the farm in the early 70’s. Pulling a manure spreader across the pastures .

That's cool. I grew up driving a 71 F800 in the hay field.

Wow and a long chassis version too. So cool I even loved the jumping speedo needle. Very rare enjoy the ride. (1st comment.) Truck will turn 60 next year (2023).

We love the truck. Not everyone knows how to drive these anymore. Grew up driving a 71 f800 like this in the hay field.

It's hilarious to me that your awesome super-duty F700 from 1963 has a cab about the same size and height as an F250 today. Pickup trucks have just gotten so monstrous over the years.

They sure have.

My dad had a 63 F600. Same cab right down to the two tone dash and white steering wheel. Only difference was that his was blue. And it had the custom cab grille, so had the "chrome" floating grille bars"

That's awesome, I love those old trucks. My Dad used to have a big truck repair shop and had a 47 LJ Mack wrecker and a 52 Ford Big Job roll back. I miss those old trucks.

@@horserangemtnfarm Who in the family makes the videos? It was nice to see you all working together. My dad's truck still lives about 20 miles from here. I don't know if I'll manage to get it back or not. He sold it 25 years ago now. It wasn't nearly as nice as yours, but it was my favorite.

We make them together. Our family is very close.

@@horserangemtnfarm I subscribed. I make videos too. Hope I can do one on my dad's old 63 someday. It ran last I saw it about 5 years ago!

Really had to run the guts out of these old gals to get down the road but they'll keep getting the job done over and over again. Is it a Y block or were they using FEs yet in 63? Very nice truck!
@horserangemtnfarm2 ай бұрын
@@SuperKONR it has a 332 truck engine which is an FE. Thanks for watching.

Are you running factory tires and brakes? I'm just starting a mechanical/chassis redo on a 62 F700 and parts are pretty scarce at suppliers around these parts. Nice unit.

Thank you for watching. We ran bias ply tires on it. Never did the brakes. You can find a lot of parts on Rock Auto for these old trucks. We sold it a little bit ago. Mine had a 332 truck engine which was very hard to find parts for.

Where is the emergency brake?
@horserangemtnfarm7 ай бұрын
It is in the middle of the floor. It is a lever that you pull back to engage.
