my thoughts about ato spot, on the river we dont want to see a, k, q,t, 9, (8 and j we lose), green card maybe, so basically more than half of the deck,because on many ran outs we just lose action (or just lose) and i dont see many bluff from recreational on turn especially versus our stack, i dont see how he could raise-fold vs our jam here, so i would just shove turn, what do you think?
@thebigdpoker7 күн бұрын
Shoving turn is definitely not a bad play but I think vs the entire range it will make you miss out on value from 10x and club draws on brick rivers. When you have the nuts in position you generally don't want to be 3-betting turns but I like where your heads at!
@ryancollins51966 күн бұрын
On the last hand I think bubble protection probably makes my choice with A4s. I think with protection folding is probably alright considering the tourney size to your usual buy-ins.
@thebigdpoker5 күн бұрын
@@ryancollins5196 payouts matter but the buy in amount shouldn't dictate your range. Gotta try to play optimal no matter what
@ryancollins51964 күн бұрын
Hear what your saying for sure ans buyin doesnt matter ; Only reason the buyin is part of it is because it equals bubble protection cash amount equivalent to a $525 cash. Which is not irrelevelent in 1.5k in buyins, so when a spot is very close and this becomes part of ICM I believe the details matter. Just my opinion obviously the spot is a tough one.
@starttakinnotez5 күн бұрын
I think the A4 is a blunder. Solver probably wont say it is, but in reality you're supposed to play tighter than the solver tells because of ICM. Fold it next time and make a move like that when you're in a later position. Less risk imo. It was a sick run and you should dabble more often with high rollers because it seems like you have it almost figured out.
@thebigdpoker5 күн бұрын
@@starttakinnotez under ICM this play was slightly profitable but I agree shaving off these marginal spots probably works out better in practice in the long run
@reinburger76092 күн бұрын
A blunder? No way. He’s far from in the money. A4s has blockage and outs to dominating hands that call it. I’m always jamming that spot. If you fold that you are playing a way to small % of hands and will be on 4-5bb within 4 hands while you need to be chipping up.

huge mistake to shove A4s there lmao, u had 3 people with stacks lower then u . ur shove range there is AA. besides u called an all in for 9bbs for no reason with a flush draw as well. ur playing reckless like its a bounty torny lol.
@rick-nv4bz6 күн бұрын
A4s is a good shove to begin with, it’s not like he has a way bigger stack and he needs to take spots here because he’s nowhere near ‘safe’ to get in the money. And ur never folding the nut flushdraw on the flop with this stack to pot ratio. You even have 40% against his best hands also he has worse flush draws in this spot which you have crushed with AJs. Don’t come around critiquing people when you don’t know what ur talking about. Both hands are played fine

I took a shot at a $50 on coinpoker last night. $50 is outside of my bankroll. I was deep with about 22 left and i have KK in the small blind. Cut off opens off an average stack and I decide to flat call because the big blind is short stacked and i was trying to induce a jam. and i did. And the original raiser rejams. Even better. It A7ss AKdd and my KK. AK gets the flush on the river. Poker can be so cruel man. You can do everything correctly and just get punished. I mean the hand went down exactly like i was trying for it too. 😢

Damn that's rough! Good effort though. The most important part about taking a shot is not being nervous and playing how you normally would in a small BI (which is why I didn't shy away from shoving that last spot). I'm sure you'll get another opportunity to run deep again! GL
