Well the day got off to a rough start but it turned out to be a great day. We really pushed Pauls ability in the trees and he did struggle but for someone who has never been in that kind if terrain he did great.

Not that I do any Mtn riding, but our season has come to an end here in New England. Maybe one huge storm tomorrow (Sat) but with fuel prices currently and a 6 hr. drive to get to the good riding.... I'm done. I really enjoy watching your skill set on the slopes. Wish I was 25+ years younger....with a good bank account and I would love to try serious mtn riding. My off trail riding has retired to finding logging roads in the hills that have not been ridden knowing there are no trees in the way and no stumps below the snow. All done adding parts to the "Wall of Shame" in the cabin garage. PS, that split screen was awesome!

i picked up the removable snowflap for the doo's this season. I was over heating a lot on trail. dropped the temps a good 20 degrees and very rarely do i overheat on trail now. just end up pulling it off and strapping it to the tunnel bag once im in the zone i want.

@@MuskokaFreerider neither have i. It was a tough start to the year here. Rented a cabin that was 8 miles of trail riding and 2 miles of whoops, to get to some decent zones. Didn't think much of it. That is till the weather was like spring in January. it would melt then freeze over night. Making the trials similar to yours. The flap didn't fix it 100% but was worth it not stopping every couple minutes.

Good question. Yes, trailing riding on frozen snow. Paddles cannot kick up enough snow and ice to the heat exchanger and they do not run ice scratchers.

Not having snowflaps on the mountain sleds is the big issue. snowflaps catch the snow and kick it up on the tunnel. when you don't have a snowflap the snow does not get to the heat exchanger on the tunnel and overheats

When there’s not enough fluffy snow for the track to kick up and cool the heat exchanger the sled overheats

Warm during the day and cold at night makes the trail hard as a rock in the morning. Even with the scratchers down, you can't get enough snow onto the heat exchangers.
