You're totally right about those 3 misconceptions you broke down. As the saying goes: 'Rome wasn't built in a day.' Language-learning is a long process and it takes a lot of effort in order to achieve mega results but it is so worth it. There's one thing (well, technically 2 lol) I would like to add on to your tips and that is: Try not to compare yourself and your progress/success to others'. Furthermore, you should never focus on the things you don't know. I think language-learning is one of those few occasions or actions in life where you really should look backwards and look how much distance you've made since day 1. I can promise you 3 things: It will always be a little bit better than the day before and you will obtain at least a little bit more knowledge than the day before and you will be a little bit closer to your goals than the day before. But it's going to be time consuming. But in a good way. :) And you Pearly don't feel guilty about taking breaks. Sometimes it's just necessary. You'd go mad otherwise. 😅😃 Also, thank you for this mini trip around Taipei. The scenery looks absolutely stunning. 🌄

Very sound advice about language learning - it takes time for your brain do adapt - you will learn better by letting the language seep into you than trying to force feed your brain over a short time. Lovely video, btw, i love those shots at the end in the library.
