Taking apart loaded ammo with the Frankford Arsenal Bullet Puller

Some ammo recipes work and some doesn’t, so what to do when you don’t like it?
I use the Frankford Arsenal Quick-N-EZ Impact Bullet Puller to take my loaded ammo apart. It’s really a quick and easy way to do it.
I used the #2 collet (comes with 3 different kinds) for 308 win, and attached it together with a provided O-ring, I unscrewed the tip of the hammer and placed the collet on there, making sure the rounded part is on top. Then I loosely screws the cap back on.
Once ready, use safety glasses. With a rotational motion, insert the loaded ammo until the rim of the case contacts the collet. Then tighten the cap. Give it a quick wack on some wood, the instructions does not recommend concrete. Don’t use too much force, it could take a couple wacks, make sure the cap is tight between wacks. The bullet and powder will fall to the other side and the brass will remain attached to the collet and that’s it. Unscrew the cap and collect the components. Easy peasy.

Haven't had to use it often, but when you need , it's useful to have. With mine, I've just used the shell holder and it seems to work just fine.

Nice, I've known about bullet pullers but have never seen it done.

Using a shell holder is much easier then collet. I’ve since switched to a collet puller in a press and haven’t used the hammer since.
