So excited that you are going to do LK150 videos. I have one and love it. My 2025 will include putting together the rigid heddle knitters loom I purchased through you and learning how to use it. I don't know why I feel a bit anxious about that. I just need to jump in. I hope you do some videos on this loom. Your upcoming plans sound amazing.

@@paulamoore2007 yay! Congrats on your new loom! Rigid heddle is great fun. For sure, I’m often nervous starting new things too, which is probably why I delay for so long… like you said, we just need to jump in!

Absolutely delighted with your plans to feature the LK150. I've had one for a long time. It's so versatile. I look forward to some new inspiration!

Your plans are so exciting! 😍 My 2025 plans are quite undefined due to my health issues and chaotic work schedule. Basically it boils down to being “fibre-active” for at least 15 minutes 3-4 evenings a week. I’ve already gone over my fibre and yarn stashes, taken stock of the patterns in my possession, and gone over my Ravelry favourites list. I’ve also decided not to start a new project unless I’ve finished a WIP or SIP (SIP = Spin In Progress). Having too many projects in progress was overwhelming me, so I decided that I needed to take action. Thank you for mentioning the Pantone colour references. I own a Datacolor ColourReader, and did a little check with it on a few things in my stashes. Turns out I have some fibre that comes pretty close to these colours. I was gifted the ColourReader through my work (it’s available on Amazon and through the Datacolor website) and I never thought to use it for my hobby until recently. Turns out it’s a handy tool! Fibre measurements are a bit tricky but it can give a great indication. I’ve also used it to measure a color I liked on a painting/wall/photograph to find out the Pantone value and then find matching Pantone values mentioned on fibre/yarn websites. So I plan to use my ColorReader more this year for my fibre projects. When is Ms. Held’s book coming out and where will it be available? I’m highly interested in purchasing it. I’m based in Europe, if that helps.

@@eddavanleemputten9232 thank you! I love the “fibre active” habit you are installing. And for the book, we have a pre-order here shop.sweetgeorgiayarns.com/products/the-spinners-blending-board-bible and we should be able to ship in May when it comes out.

Happy New Year 🎊 17:17 When the 2025 Pantone was released I asked this same question specifically in regards to small businesses that have to wait for other makers to create the physical dyes or paints. Now that you mention it, it makes sense that there is a paywalled market for this info. I do wonder how much of these forecasts become self-fulfilling.
@sweetgeorgia14 күн бұрын
@@TheQwuilleran yes on both counts! I was kind of surprised at how big a business it is to forecast colours and trends but then it makes sense because it affects the product design of so many other businesses. And yes, if we all make products from the same palette of colours those will obviously become what we all wear and use! 😆😆😆 ahhhh, in the end, I figure, just use colours that make you happy ☺️

So many fun things!!! I love my lk150!! I definitely hope to learn more about better fiber prep this year and I think I may have found a loom I will enjoy. I’ve been very shut down when it comes to weaving because of warping.. it’s just so not appealing! But if this loom works out I’m in on weaving!

Glad to hear the KM content is coming to SOS! 🎉 Yay. I’ll make do with my collection of Brother / KnitKing standard and bulky computerized machines. 😊 Hope you’ll cross pollinate for us makers and have a class about spinning for MKing! ❤️ I hear you about the machines multiplying (I have 6 with varying degrees of functionality). I think all fiber arts stuff does that… CSMs, looms, KMs, carding tools etc… 😂 I’ve been thinking about 2025 plans, and high on the list is Back Strap Boat Weaving (aka I’m envisioning it as a portable activity)! 🛥️A carryover from prior years is to weave my own fabric and sew it into a fun and funky jacket I’ll actually wear in public. 😅 I’ve been binge watching Laura Fry’s lessons in the school. ⭐️ Hope you’ll get to sewing from your own cloth content sometime!

Hi Felicia. Do you have any videos about your sampling process on the loom? Do you cut it off, then retie the warp?
@mishkalarsoncreations13 күн бұрын
I want to weave but I think 2025is about finishing what I started knot wise and quilt wise and use up my pile (it goes way beyond a stash).
