Just back from turkey... And not only in istanbul, people in every city in turkey treat cats, dogs, birds like their own community... So, it's normal when animals, especially cats and dogs in turkey like to go near and don't be affraid to ask pet to humans... People treat them well, and they also kind and like acting cute to humans... And they're mostly don't seem like usual "stray", mostly cleaner, healthier, fatter, happier than any other stray in other countries ❤️

The problem isn't the loving cat part, it's the locals not believing in neutering part. They let the cats multiply which leads to this uncontrollable cat overpopulation. No matter how well the locals take care of them, there's a lot of starvation, illnesses, injuries, abuse, and freezing in winter. The Turkish people need to neuter the cats if they value them. Videos like this paint a rosy picture and is one-sided

It has everything to do with the religion. Islamic term for this compassionate nature of human beings can be seen in the discussion of Fitrah (intrinsic nature of human beings, including the need to seek Allah, our God). It is Fitrah that guides mankind from the inside, it's in our design. It is fitrah of you as a human being to be kind, loving and compassionate as you are (may God bless you always!) Another undeniable example of fitrah though, human is restless in nature - thus seek peace and unfortunately create wars too. Acceptance of human full nature is part of the component to understand the hikmah (hidden insights) behind Islamic teachings. At the very least, from my personal review as a muslim, Islam is the N in a veinn diagram - it encompasses everything, that's why it is dynamic, balanced and alive a religion. Allahu'alam (Allah knows His creations best).

Lots of cats and dogs also have infections and bad scars because they fight with each other. When I took a sick cat to the vet clinic in Ortaköy, I unfortunatelly saw bad cases especially for dogs. They brought a dog who fought with another dog, one of his leg was all ripped and bleeding. There was also a dog in rehabilitation, it’s leg was broken. I am so grateful for these clinics because the government pays their expenses. People still wouldn’t leave injured animals in streets if these clinics were not exist but it would be so expensive to treat all of them and we couldn’t pay all their treatments. Vets are expensive here, I took care of lots of cats in my neighbourhood while I was a student in university. They took all my money LOL Thank you very much for healing them. 💕

TURKS & ANİMALS It is certain that those who attribute the high respect shown to animals to Islam, do not know both the Turkic cultur and Islam.. People from all nomadic steppe cultures treat people with the same warmth, not just animals.. Nomads are attracted to diversity and strangers, there is an almost instinctive reflex to include them in their culture because the survival of tribes /clans depends heavily on their growing numbers..They develop and change with the newcomers, but the Turk culture remains, the language remains.. Seeking power in numbers and diversity is an innate part ofTurkic culture.. The Turkish people, who did not abandon this genetic heritage, are also known for their hospitality today.. Although only Istanbul stands out, I have personally witnessed that cats and dogs live happily on the streets throughout Turkei.. It is understood from the Chinese sources that mention Turks 2 thousand years ago and from the Gokturk Khanate Monuments in Mongolia that the Turks, believing that their ancestors were gray wolves, expressed their theory of evolution before Darwin.. A joke that is said a lot in the Turkology humor:) "Ad Günü" which means birthday in Turkish, actually refers to the horse(At), since they gave their children's names when they first got on a horse.. Likewise, it is known that Turks are the ones who most prefer animal names as names and surnames in the world.. It is a beautiful culture that even had states with names such as Akkoyunlu (white sheep) and Karakoyunlu (black sheep).. It is important to protect animals in Turkic nomadic life consisting of huge herds of horses and sheep, but still Turks never kill wolves, instead the shamanistic Wolf Mouth Bind (Kurt Ağzı Baglama) tradition is still practiced in many parts of Turkei today and Wolves are of great importance in Turkish society.. During harsh winters, villagers leave food in the mountains for carnivores and herbivores to eat. It is possible to write hundreds of such.. Since the Turks did not fit their own view of life, they removed many practices from Islam and added practices from Teñgri the national religion of the Turks, and from the Shamanist tradition.. (with the Holy Quran, which refers to the Jewish people he created as vile apes and uses the donkey as an insulting adjective, and the Hadiths of the prophet Muhammad hose hostile and cruel statements about black dogs, lizards and pigs are known to all ) For these and similar reasons, while the ancestors of the Turks accepted Islam for their strategic advantages, names such as Ahmet Yesevi and Bektash Veli removed the Arabic traditions from this new religion and replaced it with the Turkic Central Asia.. My advice, especially to the dear Turkish Friends, is to protect your ancient culture and do not let it be covered by religions.. Remember that 5000 years before Islam or other Semitic religions, Turks lived with animals as a whole and while the rest of the world worshiped stones and idols, the Turks knew that God was one and in the sky, hence his name is Gok Teñgri..

God bless all those who treat animals well and help them and feel compassion for them. God correct all those who don't, for sure they are also like that to people.

Chill out boyman he is only making a quote about animals, any true cat owner would know that Muhammad blessed a cat & that’s how the “M” appeared on many cats foreheads. As someone that is none religious I have great respect for any human of any religion that’s shows animals love & respect.

@alisonuibhroin31093 жыл бұрын
Well isn’t there many different Muslim religions? It’s probably not the actual religion that wants you to die it’s the people that say they represent the religion that is a Threat to you. That’s why I broke away from Catholicism a long time ago, I don’t agree with its ideology. I am a spiritualist/Pagan & I try my best to respect to everyone especially anyone that has a love of nature & animals. Blessed be ✌🏽
