With the frequency of extreme heat events predicted to increase across much of Australia, this Being Heatwaves Ready Webinar focuses on simple tips for landholders and individuals to support our native wildlife and biodiversity during hot weather conditions.
This webinar is presented by Eleanor Lang, Biodiversity Field Officer at Sustainable Farms. Sustainable Farms is an initiative of the Australian National University focusing on long-term ecological research on farms and the benefits of protecting and restoring natural assets. You can find out more information about Sustainable farms at: www.sustainablefarms.org.au.
This webinar series was produced in May 2024 by Upper Shoalhaven Landcare Council with the support of our regional South East Landcare network. We’d like to thank all presenters for their contribution to the project, Local Landcare Coordinator Erin Brinkley, as well as Instant Andy video production house for capturing and creating the series.
This video was made possible through funding from the Landcare NSW People Led Prevention project. Landcare NSW’s People Led Prevention project empowers communities across regional NSW in developing disaster resilience and preparedness skills. The Disaster Risk Reduction Fund is jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Governments.
The Upper Shoalhaven Landcare Council would also like to acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands where we live and work, celebrating the diversity of Aboriginal peoples and their ongoing cultures and connections to the lands and waters of NSW.
