Brings me way back… I started riding that trail in 1995 (I think?). I believe Doug/Linda from Junkie were selling stuff out that Woody Jeep around this time off Woodbury Road. 2024 still riding but not on LI anymore but Denver Colorado. Still have great memories of cutting my riding teeth on Long Island..

Nice bike. My first MTB was also from that era and we started at Stilly. I had a Cannondale super V 400 i bought from Brands. It had rim brakes but the frame was disc ready. Looking back it was an awful bike. The headshok was horrible and the rear was just a spring but it got me into the sport and ive been riding ever since.

Ah the old headshock, I think they still put those on their gravel bikes don't they? The allure of Stillwell is real, even though it can annoy you as much as make you smile.

@@VisionMTB Yep, i love it there. We're entering the "Sandwell" phase now with the summer dryness but i still try to ride there at least once a week. Your Intense is real nice, i have an Intense Recluse 27.5 from 2017 and i love it.

Nice, I hated those bikes, the Marin brand tbh, I associated it with my boss who was an ass and a big marin fan, I had a trek y22 and a proflex 856 as previous full sus experience when I tried a mount vision pro my boss just bought in 2000. Hated that bike. Now I think it's beautiful 🤩 Most of the trails I rode 25 yrs ago are now sectioned with developments. Kinda sad when you think about it, sure there's new trails but you could go for days without seeing any constructions, now it's minutes 😅
