I really really enjoy this car. Maybe I shouldn't do a giveaway on it after all...but I do feel complete with it. After getting it all dialed and sorted, it really does put a smile on my face ripping it around.

I think this would blow my mind even more than a gt3 to see out and about on the road. The thing with newer Porsche's and BMWs is you expect them to be pristine and well kept. Every e36 I see is always ragged out.

I have a 98 M3/4/5. I'm really curious about the Ohlins setup. Also. Yeah, you aren't an e36 guy if you can't deal with the little rattles and stuff like that. It's the ASC Traction Control Delete. Then you can add a BMW Motorsport Front Strut Brace or a Replica. They will not fit with the Traction Control.

I had to replace the clockspring to fix the squeak. Luckily it was pretty easy to do.

I had a 97, and before the M50 intake manifold mod it wasn't worth reving up top. After the M50, waaaay more fun! I was surprised how different it felt.

I could be wrong but I really hope that the drives at the compound gave you a little boost to drive more. You looked like you were having a great time. *Side note, I put an active autoworke midpipe on my m50 swapped 318ti and the car is able to spin 2nd easily which was not possible with stock midpipe*

It's strange how s52 cars feel torquier than the s54, as the s54 in reality is more powerful\torquier everywhere in the rev range (in addition to the higher top end). Maybe its the weight\size\tinny sound?

Ive been wanting an update on behind the wheel of the E36! Love this car and what you’ve done to it. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with these cars, but I really think you should try a Z3 M Coupe. It takes all the things you love about this E36, the size, steering, handling, and the engine from the E46 (must have csl airbox for the right noise). What I think you would love about this car is the before and after. BMW left A LOT on the table with that one, making it slower with a 5 speed and tall final drive. 6 speed swap, 3.73 diff, csl airbox and these cars are more fun than any bmw. I would know because thats what ive done to mine. Things to consider in the future.

Z3 M Coupe with rear suspension straight from the e30 makes for a lively experience haha. E36 M definitely handles better, but M Coupe is more fun in S54 guise.

I think you should sell the car as a true person who wants and loves that car should have it. I have seen some really nice cars but seeing your car in person is something anyone thats interested in it should do as your car is WAY more than nice or clean. I have never seen a older car in nicer shape than your E36.Either way you pass the car along, I hope you get what you have in it back out of it as you really did one hell of a job on that car.

I’ve owned both the e36 m3 and still own the e46 m3 and I can’t see how you enjoy the e36 more than the other. The E36 was a glorified 328is while the E46 just felt way more special and was actually quick. Yes the sound of the exhaust is an acquired taste but everything else way far superior and the interior was miles ahead. I remember the door cards on my e36 as a nightmare.

The trans is terrible in the E46, the subframe is a mess, the sound is god awful and isn't really fixable, the car in stock form is not only slow, but has no torque. I love how the car looks and despite all the things I don't like, I'll probably still do one.

@@ObsessedGarage the e36 has subframe issues also it’s just that at the power levels of that motor it really doesn’t affect it too much. Let’s put it this way I ended up towing my jet ski with the e36 m3 then later sold it and I still have the e46 in the garage. The only thing I loved about the e36 where the seats. So much better than what came in the e46 and sat lower also.
