I absolutely love the micro texture/pattern from machining. I know it’s an expensive knife but details like this make it so I can’t take my eyes off of it.

I don’t comment often, but it seems like there is a lot of excuses and over looking of short comings to justify the price on this one. Flipper=not great, stepped blade=not great cutting, model number=poor placement, milling in the finger groove on the blade=eh 50/50, lock bar disengagement=just good. Doesn’t sound like a home run “take my money” type of knife. That’s just my opinion after seeing this review. Thanks for the honesty about the issues.

Seconded on the appreciation of the honest and forthright reviews. Just part off what makes this the best knife channel in the universe!

The sheer volume of his reviews that end with.. “do I recommend this knife? No. Also I love this knife. Is the price justified? No. But I gladly overpaid to have it.” Is baffling. That being said, if you’re in the hobby, or collect anything, eventually you will get to that point. I actually find that conclusion the most relatable of any. I carry a tactile turn bolt action pen at work, and I’m constantly being teased about it lol. Nobody understands how I could spend so much on a pen. But realistically, even though I’m an automotive tech, it’s one of if not the most used tool I have on me. I use it every day, multiple times a day. Filling out work orders and check lists. Nobody understands why a pen would cost so much, until they use it. “That’s the nicest pen I’ve ever used.” 😂

@@landontreinen3062 Plus, the same people making fun of you often have some ungodly piece of jewelry, or drive a stupidly overpriced vehicle etc. The moral of the story is everyone is a hypocrite sometimes. The smart people are just self aware. 😅

@metal_complex I am fidgeting with my gen 1 watching this. Gen 2 is bigger. I have big hands, so I had to learn how to place my hands, but this model t is worth it!

I have a Skiff Accomplice & the flipper tab is smooth like that. I have misfired it a couple times from not having the gimping. But I still absolutely love that knife and the milling on the titanium scales is just mesmerizing to look at! When I got the funds & Hog House is taking orders I’ll be checking 1 of there models out for sure!

The flipper tab reminds me a little of Sharp by Design. Slight annoyance, but not a hindrance in any way.

Hello, aspiring knife snob here, this scratches a lot of itches for me. Hopefully they figure out an improvement for the flipper on the next run.

I'd rather have that pivot on my Hinderers than the full width flathead they come with. I dig the milled blades.

Nothing borse me with this knife unless the jinping on the flipper. Maybe on the back of the blade. And, hourra, there is no finger choil !! ^^

Honestly, I don't mind flatheads. I have a lot more flathead than torx bits

Would a thin piece of plastic between flathead and screw prevent marking up the screws?

I've no real world knowledge for these specific screws, but I've found great effect from a bit of painters tape, or, I've even coated some tools meant for fine fine/delicate work with something like rubber cement. 🤘🏼✌🏼

@PluckyPackrat very welcome. "Changing" tool faces, for me, started with external force(various forms of clamping vehicles) and moved, er, into internal force implements. The nuance of the entire spectrum is def a [worthwhile] rabbit hole.

I'd imagine the experience sharpening a stepped blade would have a lot to do with sharpening angle? A low angle _might_ hit the next step while leaving part of the valley in front of it. Did you just partially crib another Shabazz-ism with the "low drag" line? Thought I heard you call something a diamond a couple vids ago. Not calling you out lol just seeing if I win a Shabazz Scavenger Hunt type thing. 🤪 🤘🏼✌🏼

The price is fair, especially considering it being made in Scandinavia (which is incredibly expensive).

Pretty. But I could never bring myself to buy or even use this. Too expensive for a pocket knife. I suppose it would make a nice statement piece or conversation starter when you're showing someone your collection. But this is the definition of a pocket princess.
