That drain was smashed hard time but you got it pretty easy and smooth replace. Well done.

Hey, Thanks for your comment, the drain had been run over by 30ton trucks, and my backhoe. It would have been better if it had been a clay pipe and not the plastic - once we had finished with the trucks and heavy equipment, we replaced the pipe.👍

Another excellent video, Paul it seemed you had a bad day with the rebar in the back tyre and the collapsed drainage pipe, but you managed to sort the job you probably could of done without fixing drainage when you had over job's that needed doing it's just a bit of a knock back but keep up the excellent work pal 😊👌👍

Thank you Benny. Its never a good start when you arrive to work and the machine has a issue. Its not all that common, but that morning delayed us for couple hours. Things dont always go to plan, it just takes some managing and persistence sometimes to keep the job on the right track, giving up is never an option! 😊👍

Know the feeling well , go to start the job , only to find a flat !! 🤬, never the Less you got there , well done on the drain repair, in some way, bound to happen , on a site you do t know I reckon, never know where pipes are and what previous folk have done . Great smooth action on the hoe as always especially for a old machine it’s like you got servos , well done paul nice vid 👍👍

Thanks Hartley for the comment. In some ways the levers can be smoother than the servos, depends on the machine and the operator i guess! Most newer backhoes are on servo now, you could have servos on the grey cab 3CX, never seen one for real! 👍

Bro! that bucket has more bounce than a belly dancer. If I'm not mistaken, JCB has bushings between the hinges & pins. if the bushings wear through, you're looking at replacing the hinge pin & bushings. If the linkage eyelet woggles out, they'll need grinding out and have a replacement eyelet welded on + replacing hinge pin & bushings. from a $100 repair to $1,000s. not warning you would be cruel on my behalf.

Hey, Thanks for the comment. I know and I will be looking at it over this winter, Iv replaced the pins and bushings, a lot of the play is from the bucket pins sitting in the jaws of the quick hitch, like you have stated I may have to replace the eyelet and get the welder out 👍

Murphy's Law, mate. Good job working through the problems.👍🏻 Will you be putting LED lights on your legendary 3CX with the dark days coming?. For Claire not offering a hand, get her put over your knee😜😄 (just kidding)

Hi, Thanks for watching and your comment - Anything is possible, all we did here was a simple drain repair. The drain was not all that deep and you can only drive so many 30ton trucks over it before it takes no more. Once we had finished with the trucks, the drain was repaired and now works fine, taking the P*SS ! The lights on the 3CX are stock factory lights and work fine. I also want to keep that 80s factory look, without fitting more modern looking items to the machine. Sometimes you just have to keep that classic look, and any retro fitted items really should be of the time and style the machine is from.

Nice job, but surely the fact that the new section of pipe is held pretty rigid by the concrete etc, any vibration over the roadway will inevitably lead to the same thing happening again ? I do of course appreciate that you're quite limited in what you can do, given the fact there's a portion of raised roadway just next to where you're working, so digging a deeper trench for the pipe isn't really an option, without a lot more disruption being caused.

I thought about the best way to repair this drain James, This is a private drive so should be fine with the concrete surround to reinforce the pipe. It was very limiting and to re-direct the pipe would have cost more than the customer was willing to pay. 😎👍

Could have done the drain while the tyre was being fixed didn't really need a jcb for that

@@davidbarnett8002 haha, yeah right, I wasn't going to dig it out by hand, very hard compacted stone, that's why we have machines David, time and a place to hand dig and this wasn't it. Thanks for watching and the comment 👍👌😆

Go tubeless
@PSExcavationsLLC
@PSExcavationsLLC 7 ай бұрын
The front are tubeless, I think i were having trouble sealing the rears so tubes were fitted. Even with tubeless, you should still take the tire off and repair the hole from inside - not just plug it from the outside, that would be poor practice!

@@PSExcavationsLLC had tubless before and got 3000hrs out of the tires. It was expensive back then to get sealent but on the site the tires were like pin coushins. Sealant did rot the sidewalls but with the hrs and tires were near bald couldnt complain.
