Speaking from experience, it’s much more tolerable if you start in the hot tub and then the cold plunge and back into the hot tub. I did the cold plunge into two feet of snow. I was able to stay longer because I did the hot tub first. Either way, you both are brave lol ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Hey Steph, I received my package from you with perfect timing. I came down with the flu last week and didn’t get out of bed except for the bathroom for 4 days. Your rice heat wrap has been amazing on my sore neck and back. The body aches I have are horrible and the wrap helped so much! Also from the fevers, my lips were a mess. The lip balms healed them immediately! I also, the lotion bar! The candle is amazing also! I have love everything. You guys are crazy with the ice plunge. I hate being cold so this is something I would never, ever do!!

It does make you feel invigorated. There was a place called the European Health Spa in Ohio when I was in my 20’s. I used to exercise then get in the steam room, then the sauna then go dunk down in their ice tank. Felt so good afterwards. Full of energy.❤

Haven’t done an ice challenge. I have done similar almost 40 years ago in Banff, Alberta, Canada. One was at Sulfer Springs. You go into a natural sulfer spring pool (It really smells like rotten eggs but you do get used to it). You go into the pool, we would jump out and walk in the snow or some of us jumped in the snow and go back pool. Spring is open all year but best is in the winter. Another was at the Fairmount Hotel, reserving the hot tub, having snow falling on you and getting out. We weren’t supposed to but we did anyway. But we were being watched by people who were peeping through the door window and staff kicked them out and let us stay in their time. You aren’t suppose to stay in the hot tub that long, so we went in and out of the hot tub. When it snows again, having the hot tub ready and having the snow falling around you is magical. It was a lot colder, probably around -20°F during the day.

Love it! I’ve done it all and love it all!! From a frozen lake in VT to fancy spas. The hardest for me was the whole body Cryo Chamber -200’F (you have the wear cryo gloves, socks and headband to protect your ears and digits) for 3 mins. Then directly after I sat in an infrared sauna for 20m, and then did Float Therapy for 30m. It was a special Mother’s Day gift 💝 I highly recommend you, Bri and Jami doing it 😊 Fun video idea 😅

This is for when the ice is gone. You can accomplish the same benefits with a 3 - to 6-minute cold shower. Get it running and quickly get into the water, face first. Finish the shower with hot but not scalding water.💖

I first heard of cold plunges on the "Quite Frankly" YT channel, and J. Gulinello. (He does health retreats). I even saw Bjørn Andreas Bull-Hansen do an ice plunge a while back in a lake up there in Norway. (He's an author and is into all things Viking. Buddy probably already knows who he is). Some people coax themselves into doing these plunges by making the water in the shower colder over time. I don't think I could do it, but I have thought of it. Haven't y'all also done the hyperbaric oxygen chambers as well? (I think I heard you two mention that on a Live Stream once). That would make a great video! I wish my mother would try that, but it reminds her too much of the claustrophobia she experienced with an MRI. (She crawled out of the darn thing). She has so, so, so many health issues and I'm desperate for even just ONE health concern of hers - of many - to get better. It's really hard to watch a person in pain every day and to be helpless in helping them. She can't even walk from one room to another now. (Neuropathy, back spasms, and she gets out of breath. He body doesn't absorb iron. It embarrasses and depresses her that she has to use a scooter, and not many places other than the boring grocery store are wheelchair accessible). She's basically given up on doctors. I don't blame her at all. She's been treated horribly, and they never listen. Sorry for rambling. Lol! The topic just makes me think of my Mother.

I have watched the videos of a young lady who will break through thick ice with a cinderblock or brick. Then hop in and completely submerge herself, for a while😳. She said it helped her with some chronic issues she'd been having. She has a chest freezer she keeps full of water and turned on in the summer so she can continue her ice baths. I'm Canadian but that's just too extra.
