Taking Vault Hunting to the Sky!! | SkyVaults Ep:1

We're back to Vault Hunters!!
Vault Hunters 3rd Edition Sky Vaults takes a new approach to the good old Skyblock adventure where running vaults is your main source of gathering materials to grow you base and expand your capabilities! It's time to tackle the skies and see what we can do with this challenge!
The main reason I'm back to Vault Hunters is all thanks to JoeFoxe from the development team on Vault Hunters!
Joe has hung around in my own and many others streams and listened to our frustration at the removal of an accessibility feature found through being able to scroll your abilities with the mouse wheel while holding your cast key! He listened and personally made sure to bring it back as an feature we could use so this series would not be happening without Joe's hard work :)
The man also happens to be an incredibly talented mod creator in his own right and you can find his incredible magic mod Hexerei here:

Bottle if you massage your wrists after each gaming session you can reduce the pain in your hands and knuckles! All of the hand moving muscles are attached up at the elbow and move your hand like a freaky flesh puppet 😊

Don’t know if anyone has commented this yet: but mob eggs are incredibly important with late game. I’d seriously suggest trying to get an evoker egg, and if you can’t save all your pillager eggs. It is so easy to get soft locked behind totems, sponges, guardian drops, and other hard to get drops. Prepare as much as you can!

Reroll all your pillager eggs. Pillager eggs spawn the pillager patrol, and those guys drop crossbows at best. Vindicators and evokers are the way to go. There's so much that can be mined/pulverized from vaults and raw vaults that you won't really get locked unless you don't plan ahead a little. Especially now that you can get mystery eggs in the raw vaults!

Recently found your channel, love the play style and commentary style. Currently watching through old series and happy to catch this one as it’s airing! this series looks like fun! as a fellow jacked up hands person, I suggest a vertical mouse if you don't already have one. I can comfortably use mine for hours, while a few minutes with a standard mouse can mess me up for the rest of the day.

You might benefit from a couple of pedals, which would alleviate some of the stress on your hands. I have a chronic sleep disorder and I'm prone to some pretty serious slouching which results in a lot of one-handed play (mouse only). Adding pedals (I use two of the iKKEGOL Double/2 Foot for a total of 4 pedals) let me use my Ctrl, Alt, Shift, and Space-bar with my feet, but you could program them to be whatever keys or modifiers you like, including F- keys all the way up to F24 (keyboards only have them up to F12, usually but the keys "exist" in the OS). It feels extra immersive to press my foot down to crouch, jump, or run. I also found the addition of a gamepad really beneficial. a thumb-stick on the side of a 19-key keypad means I get 4 keys worth of function (WASD) out just my thumb, freeing up my other digits for comfortable hotkeys. Finally, and it sounds like you might already have this set up, a mouse with a ridiculous amount of side-buttons did absolute wonders for me. Having access to 12 buttons with my mouse thumb means I'm never using my left-hand for my hotbar. Obviously, not everyone has access to a suite of alternative peripherals. I use my computer for work as well as gaming so it's worth the cost to me to invest some additional funds into it. Not so for everyone, so it's good to hear that accessibility options have been added.

Oh,maybe its time for me to go properly into vaults too ;d The question is, are sky vaults 'easier' in a way than normal ones? Coz like, you're starting already with vaults from the get go, in exchange to gather basic stuff, but still. Can't remember how hard it was to make the portal in a regular one, played only lil bit of 1.16 version in the past.

The "free" crystals are way easier yes and allow you to run just for resource gathering. There's also now a lot of ability to change difficulty to suit how you want to play! 😊 you can make the vaults far less punishing if you just want to vibe and enjoy it!
