Best shelter in the world put together and run by the most amazing person in the world. I watch all of Takis Shelter's videos on FB and YT and I am a monthly donor. I hope to visit the shelter next year. PS I believe there are more than 150 cats in the shelter.

I have now stopped donating, although I still admire Takis' work. The reason I stopped is Takis' politics. He should not have allowed his FB page to become a propaganda platform for the vile and corrupt Greek conservatives, but he did (it looked like he was campaigning for their shitty lot). Since that gang are in government and since they have a finger in every pie and represent the lical and international oligarchy, Takis can ask them to return the favour he did them and support his shelter with public funds. He, therefore, does not need my money. I have funneled it to other shelters in Crete instead, shelters who kept their politics to themselves.

Can I just say that Takis has a friend who has a similar shelter, also on Crete, where the dogs also run in very large enclosures. They are currently undergoing huge improvements after the Winter storms destroyed part of the cats enclosures. if anyone would like to take a look, it is called "The Jutta Shelter" The man who runs it does not speak English, but he has a lovely helper called Adrianna ,who does, and she does the videos

I have been following Takis for years, from back in his early days. He even feeds the birds. There are close to 400 dogs there at least. Thank you for sharing him with others. He is a saint who has created a healing Heaven for poor lost abandoned and abused animals. The brings them all back to life.
