Its been a decade now. So much has changed since I found this mix... since then I've moved from West Coast to East, had life changing adventures, seen death, changed careers, hit rock bottom and climbed back higher than I've ever been. Im a scientist now... that still feels so weird to say to myself even though it's been years. I'm sorry to the people I hurt back then. I'm sorry for who I was. I wish they could know that I know how wrong I was for not appreciating them. I wish they could know how hard I worked to become the man I should have been for them. I hope their lives are full of joy and wonder.

These mixes were the soundtrack of my 2014 summer which was a weird time. Fresh from a breakup, aimlessly drifting through college, not really knowing where I was going. These sounds were there for the ride to every party and dead end job, drifting in the background of late night study sessions and hookups. Listening now in 2020, I think back on that summer and know that even though I was lost as hell, I was having the time of my life.

Appreciate you all sharing stories. Early 10's The gf introduces me to my neighbor, and since that day we blaze up in the shack - a 8x8 wooden hut with a couch, heater, and a computer. Working on cars, working the min wage job, and burning off the stress late into each night. After the break up, we would chill for some time without her there - still ventilating our stress and woes. We all moved on though, and yet I'm sure there's nostalgic moments we think back to them good times. Now they raising their families, but at least we all have that distant memory to look back on fondly. :) This was one of the jams - along with Grammatik, Nujabes, J Dilla, 9th Wonder, and more.

This Is my fave from these series. I remember to downloaded it and listen it back in my way from college to home at night watching the city moving, the people walking under artificial city lights. Damn also i searched individually song by song. Amazing mix puts you in a good mood.

I used to listen to it during dark drives around my hometown. It was one of the few mixes that had a unique hold on me and was able to mellow me out immediately. I would catch myself driving 10 under like the rest of the drivers in that town and it was bliss... Also, jamming to this mix with headphones on during a walk and then losing my shit at 29:41... it commanded my body to DANCE.
