Takuo Toda's Zero Fighter Design (Current World Record)

This is a replica of Takuo Toda modified SkyKING precisely folded. In his new book he calls it the Zero Fighter (I assume it's related to the famed WW2 Mitsubishi Zero)
In this video I flew it for 29.7 seconds. Just 0.5 seconds longer than the world record except that I flew it outdoors which is not that impressive compared to indoor environment in which the air is completely still.

the size of the paper-din A5 and the papers weight-55gsm means its thickness.u cant use normal paper because it is around 80 or 75 gsm if u want din A5size paper than u can cut half of the A4size paper from the breath so than u will gell 2 din A5 size paper okkk i could give only this information hope it works

Oh that's just colored paper from a bookstore. Fantasia Paper pads. The folds hold together very well with that paper but it's 80gsm

Hi, I have folded it many times but my wings always droop at the end of the wing. Even though I tried many ways, it still can't be straight. Looking forward to hearing from you. I fold it for over 30 times.

If it's too hard to build, take two big books and put each of the wings in between two of the pages and place something heavy over it. Leaving it there like that for half a day is fine but 24 hours is even better kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6qpc5JvqKypaNU go to 8:07 in the tutorial and he shows you how to do this method I would do the wing clips over this but if you can't do the wing clips its probably better to do this

It's a good idea to iron the wings after using any of these methods, make sure to use very low heat though to not crinkle the paper and you also have to make sure its on a flat surface. I like to heat the iron until its good and then pull the plug and iron it for one wing for a very little bit more than a minute and repeat for the other wing

Part of the challenge is to figure it out. If it bends one way, just bend it the other way lmao. Or look at the source of the problem and try to get rid of it.

You can't use your hands. You need to use a ruler or a rigid flat plate to fold the wings so that the thick part and the layered part of the wing all bend at the same time. Or else you'll distort the paper.

4N was here the paper really matters, btw. If you want to achieve the record Takuo Toda achieved, you need a 55gsm bagasse paper, I think 148mm by 210mm

Lubdhak Das you need a very careful amount of up elevator. When you throw the plane fast, it tends to generate no lift (I think it has something to do with the aeroelasticity of paper) . This allows it to climb high and not instantly do a loop. When it’s slower, it’ll glide. He key is getting the plane to recover from a high altitude. The Sky King isn’t the best for that but what I like to do is to throw the plane at an angle (wings not level)
