Stui looks unhealthy and so just incase,dont u think Samoa should be grooming his successor. Samoa is notoriously bad at identifying non corrupt wise future leaders, and then notoriously bad at handing over the mandate of power to the younger leaders, whether its matais, faifeaus, councillors, kings,heads of State, in this case prime ministers. Also will Stuis successor (because Stui cant remain in power for eternity) will his successor know fully what legit deals or shady deals Stui has cut with overseas governments (china etc), companies, banks multiconglomarates, corporations, ngos, etc..????? ..when Stuis reign ends will Samoa still own Samoa, will the Matais, the villages Matai titles and family klans still own their own land, will Samoa and her people still have sole sovereignty of their own land culture and destiny especially for the future of the people and youth of tomorrow, these are the questions Matais and the people must ask themselves and then take up with Stui and the government and hold them accountable. Because any loans to build any large infrastructure or development in Samoa all comes from many overseas nations and central banks and these come at a cost, the loans come with huge interest added on top, there clauses in the contracts, Samoas land is used as guarantee for these loans, Samoas fishing zones are used as leverage and guarantee, any of Stuis posturing on trying to take power from Matais and village klan groups is a slow gradual move to gain control of village tribal lands, he may have already sold to overseas interests and in this case in parliament shutting down any opposition threat, obviously this is Stuis desperate move for power and control as he feels threatened. Sad the last roars of an old Lion whom is losing control of his pack. Matai must open there eyes, Stui has done well in some areas during his reign, but nothing comes for free and Samoa will be lucky if he hasnt sold Samoa from under your noses. Samoa must remember Stui and government serves Samoa which is the Matai of Samoa the ruling council of Ali'i and Tulafale and the people of Samoa, Stui is not the King of Samoa he is the prime minister which means he is just the figure head the mouthpiece the servant of the ruling Matai and the people of Samoa, if he isnt serving the Matai then together all the Matai of Samoa must oust Stui from power plain and simple and find a new mouthpiece a worthy successor to take Samoa into the new future.
