"people saaay it has a ridiculous amount of power" -> "oo it lifted the wheel...YEAH" "people keep raving about the brakes" -> "they just feel like MOTORCYCLE brakes" love the change of mind during the initial impression!! Mine comes in friday

Good morning Dave! Watching your video about the Talaria. It's cool Dave. I've been on that first trail that you were riding. I have to say that I was a little dizzy after watching for a while. There is a lot of camera movement when you are riding. Sounds like a very cool bike.

I'm sure me spinning around in a parking lot a dozen times didn't help. I'll take a note of that and try not to make that a habit moving forward :). I also adjusted the camera angle a little higher up so you can see more sky and surroundings, that should also help.

brake line isn’t routed correctly, should run to the inside of the forks to prevent snagging.
@tminustodayАй бұрын
Noted! I routed it that way because my KLX250s also routed its brake line that way and I figured a dual sport that was professionally put together would be correct.

Were the handguards easy to put on? How do they connect to the ends of the bars? I break a lot of levers where I ride, thinking about ordering those.
@tminustoday2 ай бұрын
They come with hardware that goes into the bar end and some clamps that clamp onto the bars. Installation takes a little creativity since they're generic motorcycle handguards and the issue is they'll want to clamp onto the bar when it transitions from the smaller 22.2mm to 31.8mm at the stem. It comes with plastic inserts to account for a wider bar. It has everything you need, but like I said in the video you may have to bend them or be a little creative to get them on since they're not specifically made for the emoto. It took me 1/2 hour to get them on and I'm not particularly fast at any of this.

@@tminustoday Can't seem to get the bar end piece to fit in the stock handlebars I guess I need to buy those riser bars. There seems to be a piece inside the stock bars blocking it from going all the way in, it's sticking out about an inch.

You’re so wrong with the tube theory… drop that tire down to 12-14psi and lmk how that works out for you. Gonna have a spun or popped tube in no time…
@tminustoday2 ай бұрын
I'm gonna have to politely disagree with you. If you run on the road and at spec, then you want a double nut configuration. One finger tight, the other nut just to hold the first nut in place as specified by the manufacturer. If you are offroad and you run under spec like most everyone does, you want some play since the tube and the tire are not glued together. The whole point of the nut is to keep the valve stem on the outside of the rim if your tire rotates independently of the tube, allowing you to reset it without removing the entire wheel. I guess you can run whatever you want, but this has never failed me so far. I admit, I only have a few thousand miles of offroad experience, but it's worked for me.

@@tminustoday i came from the dirt bike background and never have gad any issues and we always run 2 nuts/and tight. I guess if you ever have a failure, give my way i use a try.
@tminustoday2 ай бұрын
@@jordoncotter3039 Good to know. I ran a single nut tight for the first 6 months I had my KLX250s and didn't have an issue either. I may not run my tires at low enough pressure to ever get to that point where it'd be an issue. If I were to run down at 10-12 PSI I'd probably try and just make sure I had a rim lock, then the issue would be moot.
