The seat is not as comfortable as you might expect so if you are going to commute then gradually transition to commuting bc if you just get on and think you can ride long distance then it will be a sad face.

i would definitely try to adapt that sprocket on the pedal side of the gear system. a larger sprocket in the front would achieve a higher pedal speed without messing with the current 48t rear sprocket.

There isnt a lot of room up there and the spindle is special made so you'd have to have the larger sprocket special made and honestly I don't think you can go much larger without rubbing frame with chain as people are already complaining about chain rub

I'd be super clutch if they had like a crank lock or a pedal lock option for when you're riding! that way you can lock your petals in the place and they don't move on you while riding but easy to disengage in case you do have to pedal for a cop

What I like about this setup is the red paint doesn’t scream Surron, like the black XXX does. Add the pedals and it almost looks like a fancy Chinese 750. It’s probably pretty effective at flying under the radar.

Share my business card and anything else I may want to program on it. One is a dual frequency chip that does RFID AND NFC. The other does NFC and has a green LED that lights up when it’s in a reader field

Food for thought...could the Lunacycle XXX pedal kit be adapted to fit on the MX-5? I live in Laguna Beach, and I've got a decent moped style AWD ebike that I've modified by swapping out the rear 750w/1000w motor for a 2000w motor (for electrical simplicity, I now have a left throttle for the front motor, and a right throttle for the new rear motor). It accelerates much harder and has legit hill-climbing torque (lots of hills here), and also pedals. I slow down around pedestrians and cops and put on an Oscar-worthy pedaling show, which means I hardly get a second glance. There are also great MTB trails all around me that would chew up my current ride (more of a beach cruiser and errand runner), but I'm dreaming of enjoying those trails on a fresh MX-5...without getting hassled. Thoughts?

The red color on the Talaria XXX is looking mighty FINE! If I had the money rn, I would def get it as my second bike with the pedal kit. The only unfortunate part is that I live in SoCal currently and SoCal is not so nice to high powered ebikes. Already got away with 2 warnings from the sheriffs about my surron. Once I move out of state, though, I'm def thinking about getting one! I'd hope the pedals don't hit the kickstand while it's down as the kaniwaba pedals on my bike are notorious for ruining my kickstand. Hate for someone else to touch and move my bike around and then all of a sudden they ruin the chain drive for the pedals.

I think lots of people will be interested to see how it fares against the Nucular since they're both designed to integrate well with the stock bikes and let us unlock the potential of them + provide room to grow into 72V. i dropped it with the pedal kit on just on a small dirt hill but the pedal taking so much impact bent the entire pedal system(like the rotating shaft) as soon as i took the pedals off and put on the pegs it was so much better so glad i swapped

Hey man it’s hard to say what the right one would be, it’s also not necessarily a nicer shock it’s just a bit softer. You could email Luna and see if they sell the rear shock but it may not be worth the upgrade price wise. It’s hard to say.

The pedals are for a few things: ghost pedal when you see a cop, and gives you immunity on bike paths/trails where motorized vehicles are prohibited. Actually manually pedaling the bike for commuting (unassisted) is not practical. As a person who has a 72v stealth bomber clone, ghost pedaling has kept cops off me all but one time.

Hey Talaria Boys, I got my bike today with the pedal kit, but when I try to turn the pedals seem so low to the ground, and they graze the road if I try to turn sharply... how can I fix this? Also, when I try to pedal the pedals rotate so fast it doesn't even work, even faster than how you show it in the video. Any advice would be helpful. Great video btw! Edit: i figured out that I hadn't installed the pedals 180 degrees opposite of each other, so now I can pedal. As for the pedals grazing the ground, I figured out where the pedals need to be when turning so it doesn't really happen anymore.

I'm considering getting the nuclear before the battery because it's supposed to get more out of the motor if I'm not mistaken, and so it'll be some time before I spring for the upgraded battery and then when I do it'd be nice to know how much of an increase in performance it will have when eventually upgrading to the x9000

The small sprocket did have a 3-4 mph higher top speed so around 54-54gps mph but acceleration was slower as you saw.

I have the same bike with the luna pedal kit. Was wondering what the extra sprocket was for I thought it went up front. One thing thats annoying with that kit is when you roll the bike backwards say to turn around, the pedals also move. Wish there was a bit more paperwork or information on the pedal kit such as how to convert it back to stock if you wanted. Thanks for the video I've been waiting for someone to post some sort of content around the luna pedal kit.

Why dont you run dual sprockets? The 25 tooth sprocket only on the pedals and the normal 44 tooth on the drive train. I took a huffy mountain bike and mounted a 50cc engine on it and run dual sprockets and dual chains. It can run off the gas motor and still has the stock 16 speed pedal sprockets on it. Itd make a cool video if you can make it work! Btw why dont you get a plate for your sting r so the cops leave you alone? I plated mine.

It would be better to have a bigger gear on peddle drive than final drive gear. That way you can have all the stock power with the throttle , and have a better ratio for peddling.

You do realize putting that small sprocket on the rear will cause you to lose power but gain way to much speed, it will be lucky to climb a hill. You need a bigger sprocket on the pedal end .

It will still be speed limited due to the HP available on the eclectic motor. You won't gain that much speed--maybe a few mph.

Is it have PAS LEVELS? I have a 72volt45ah 2.5t qs273 150/350 savington controller top speed 70mph+ with a real average guy 6 2 250. Pas 1 &2 are set legally a class 2 ,3. 4 is 80%, 5 - 100%. For $3800.

Cut the pedal shaft down so it's even shorter - ok it won't pedal well at all but that that's not the point- it does pedal so you have that on yr side & both pedals being shorter it's safer for the rider- feet closer together but level 👍

With the big 3 . Bikes that have 72 volts and 35 ah use the same sprocket like a 13 & 42 and I bet you achieve 60 but a loose in torque

Do an acceleration test while pedaling at the same time.

As soon as you hit the throttle the pedaling becomes obsolete. You can’t pedal fast enough to keep up with the motor. Pedaling won’t increase the acceleration

it would be cool to see them male it be able to change gears and go from pedal mode to emoto mode almost like a bicycle and have the pedal mode regen the battery aswell if it already doesnt
