I belong to Jaunpur.In early 60,1964 it was,Talat Saheb came there on being requested by the then DM,Jaunpur.I remember his handsome personality.His smile was beautiful.No arrogance or showingoff.The then D M Jaunpur requested for two of his Ghazals which he promptly agreed.There was a time when h🎉e acted in films also as the producers wanted him for his beautiful voice.I don't know why we don't have melodies of the years gone.I don't think we have dearth of good singers,musicians or listeners.

I was lucky to listen to Talat saab live for about 2hours in centenary auditorium,Madras University in the early 80s. There his song zindagi Dene vale sun was repeated several times on public demand.what music was flowing from his being !!!.i was totally mesmerized. Such a humble being he was.
