when we were stationed in Bermuda, all the old guys would sing this to me. Mrs. Talbut gave me her old album(her husband was in the band)when we were leaving. So sweet.

Wow! I just bought this album today at a thrift store in Omaha. It’s signed by each of the Talbot Brothers dated 29 february 1952

I was just shocked to learn this is a song. Being a redhead with freckles my Grandpa and Dad would sing 🎶 she’s got freckles on her but my she’s pretty” and that was the only Line. I thought it so odd and they’d sing it and laugh like they were teasing me. I grew up hearing it and now I find that it’s a song. I have no idea why they thought this was funny to sing to me but it always brought them laughter at my expense.
