We're honoured to announce that Mixmag TV has been invited to film at what has to be the most spectacular and respected techno festival in the world: Time Warp.
For over two decades the festival, that takes place in Mannheim Germany, has showcased the very best of the scene. From legends like Sven Väth and Ricado Villalobos to the new breed of talent, the line up is always truly jaw-dropping. As well as boasting unrivalled soundsystems, Time Warp is known for it's outrageous lightshows concocted by the world's most talented visual artists.
And what better set to capture than our DJs of the year, Tale Of Us. The Berlin based duo's deep house and techno sound has captured the imagination of dance music fans worldwide.

Dramatic and unmissable, not just moving bodies on dancefloors but touching hearts and minds. From Miami to Secret Solstice in Iceland, Coachella in LA to back home in Berlin, their DJ sets have hit the perfect balance between immersive warehouse techno party and an evocative experience. They're busy remixers but not prolific producers, preferring perfectionism to cashing in. Expect dense and coolly atmospheric techno tracks of the highest order.

I realize now, given how shitty they turned out to be, that in their golden years they were just copying Mind Againt's musical version, packaging it and marketing it better... If you listen to their stuff from 2012, 2016, 2023, and do the same with Mind Against, you will see clearly that the latter have a clear, solid musical identity that they always stayed true to while evolving as artists. Tale of Us - and this saddens me as an ex-hardcore fan of theirs - unfortunately are just surfing waves. We liked them the most when they were like Mind Against but that was just a trend for them. I think their best achievement might be giving exposure to Mind Against, the true godfathers who for years sucked at promoting themselves.

@@nhac-space I was talking about Tale of Us as a project. Carmine indeed is offering something artistically novel although i enjoy his new style less than their own and their label's top projection form around from the periods between 2015 to 2019. I respect the artist he proved to be on his own. On the other hand, Anyma is eventually more of an audiovisual event organizer for kids, a businessman basically. His tracks are undeniably pristine (must help to profit from all the resources at Afterlife), but musically shallow. Focusing more on dramatic drops to sync with the cartoons he displays on screen, rather than the texture, the structure, the journey... His sets are now an exhausting succession of drops too close to each other to let the listener explore anything in between, which he fills anyway with cheesy EDM vocals and that used and abused trend of same note stabs. Cheap art if you ask me. Too bad, I liked him as part of Tale of Us. Tale of Us who died, murdered by him.

That was paradise if you like this type of vibe 9, 10 sometimes 11 hours of this in the most intimate venues…I personally went multiple times at Shelter, Amsterdam. Oh how I miss those nights :(

hoy lamentablemente no, mutaron a algo raro, como le paso a guetta, tiesto y muchos otros grandes. Y te lo digo habiendo pagado el último afterlife , 2024 130.000 pesos argentinos, lo cual es mucha mucha plata 130 dolares para ver lo que vinieron a hacer.
