It's exactly the same melody and rhythm in the English version. I rarely do, but I prefer Sharyn Scott's singing. She's got the power vocals to really carry the song

This song will forever be nostalgic for me, of the time when my cousin purchased the OST for the Tenchi Muyo show, then airing on Toonami on Cartoon Network, and me basically borrowing it forever and listening to it on repeat. You may be problematic Tenchi, but god darnit I love you!

Sorry, but I just can't stand the Japanese singer. She's got kind of a little baby voice and the English singer just sounded perfect. Also, the lyrics are better in the English version.

It's supposed to be a youngish voice because "Sasami" is the one singing it. It's supposed to be from her point of view. So it works that way.
