I love her. She’s genuinely her. She doesn’t try to do anything that’s not authentic to her. I think her insecurity will get worked out as she keeps getting more people wanting to work with her. I think she has less confidence than the others because of the pressure she’s always felt being the granddaughter of Loretta Lynn. But, she is such a natural person. She’s just her and she has a soothing voice. I can’t wait to see what she does. I think it will be very obviously her but with the confidence of knowing she made it❤

She needs vocal training. That said, she has a tone to her voice that is unique and can't be taught. Vocal technique CAN be taught, and she will shine when she learns . Also, she's pretty and has star pedigree. Both matter and I predict she'll be a star.
@docdoscojazz8 ай бұрын
Good analogy. Her technique needs to be re-imagined if possible at her age. Sometimes singers get locked in to bad habits.... I recall seeing her sing when she was much younger and she a charming natural voice and unique musical inflections... a kind of a warble that someone convinced her to delete from her style. Too bad. She isn't blessed with the ability to do carry out vocal gymnastics... her pitch gets funky, IMO, but she had a rare gift when she was a kid that I no longer hear... but that is just me. She has good tone, but she sounds like she is fighting her natural inclinations. Maybe someone told her not to sound so much like granny. A big mistake as far as I am concerned....

Not winning the title of American Idol doesn't mean an end or even a derailment for Emmy Russell. Jennifer Hudson finished in seventh place American Idol 2004 and she is already an EGOT winner. Miranda Lambert finished third behind two men in the 2003 music competition show Nashville Star. Who can even name both the men that finished ahead of her without the aid of Google?

Absolutely. She is incredibly pitchy. She definitely doesn’t deserve to be this far in the competition and her family history most definitely has a big role of this and will for her future. She 💯 needs vocal lessons. She does have a unique voice but it needs more support and she needs to hear it played back to her so she can hear what she’s doing.

For having so much going for her, she constantly sings depressing and sometimes "suicidal" songs. The girl has issues and watching her mother in the audience, something just doesn't seem right between these two. Constantly had to name drop about grandma Loretta Lynn and became very obvious she didn't have her own identity. This far into the competition, "nerves" shouldn't be an issue. She won't make it in the business because the first rejection she receives, she'll be found hiding in a closet.
