I think you’re wrong that the writers don’t hate SR. They do. They’ve done everything they can to dissociate themselves from the original games and ignore the fans. They’re only calling it Saints Row because that’s what is getting some people to buy the game. Other than that, fantastic video, and this game is complete garbage.

Its real real sad they messed up Saints Row and the worst part is that it took real effort to actually make it that bad. If they had taken a micro-second to scan some forums or fan wish-lists for the next game and actually incorporated that into the reboot, we would have got a much higher quality game. Yet, they insisted on their 'vision' for Saints Row. and we got what we got...and one more franchise burned due to an insular arrogant development staff and its woefully inadequate script writers.

Jeez SR 4 and Gat Outta Hell are masterpieces compared to this utter crap. Say what you want about the OG games, but THIS is the game that killed the franchise, as it's Saints Row in name and symbols only.

This is sad to watch. Not the video, but how the reboot completely screws up on bringing back the series after about a decade with no main game. A terrible story, one dimensional and undeveloped characters, bad gameplay changes, frustrating new activities, having a woke feel at certain moments, forced callbacks from the previous catering to nostalgia, the horrible slap in the face of breaking tradition of not having the “It’s our time now, let’s get this s*** started” said after the speech. (even if the speech was crap) and GLITCHES GALORE. On top of it all, 100 dollars wasted on this piece of s***. I wish I could make this up for you.

Honestly, the ONLY way i got even a remote sense of fun from this game, was when i dialed the difficulty down to easiest, and removed all QTEs and timelimits, and i'm not even remotely ashamed of myself for doing that!

And now Volition is dead, and the series is on hold indefinitely. As the saying goes, "you reap what you sow." A fitting ending for Volition. They disrespected and bullied their own fans, and are now forever shamed because of it. They were so smug while doing it too. Good riddance.

I played this game for free with PS Plus, and i STILL felt like i got cheated... I barely got halfway through before i started getting tired of it, and i have now dropped it entirely, which is extremely rare for me, as i usually finish a game if i can stomach more than maybe the opening 1-2 hours before deciding if i wanna devote my time to it. I have finished games i ended up hating like Far Cry 6 and Atomic Heart, just because i had already invested a ton of time into it and wanted to atleast see it done, but Saints Row 2022 is the first game in over 6 years i devoted over 10 hours to, and STILL decided to just drop it, and even remove it from my PS Plus library as if i never downloaded it in the first place!

He seems like these are contradictable nitpicks. It's like you want cutscenes to explain what's going on in the story but then complain about the cutscenes being too long. As if God of war Ragnarok and death stranding, they have over 7 minute cutscene (I never played those games I just heard at it). But then complain when characters have too much exposition and then you will complain about it being an exposition dump. Then he talks about the bugs that's in saints row reboot but it must not be that bad if Sony didn't take it off of the game store. It wasn't as buggy as Cyberpunk 2077. But you like that game (Cyberpunk 2077) so much that you advocated for that game to have a redemption arc (no pun intended) to be like No Man's Sky. So why is it cool for one game to get a pass and not the other? Then if you want to poke holes in a story, let's talk about Red Dead redemption 2 how Dutch was always talking about he needed a plan to make money to move the gang out of there. One mission when Arthur took the money from the chimney, they had enough money to move the whole gang out of the country. Having over $600 and 1899 meant that you was rich. It seemed like Rockstar based the economy off of 2018 instead of 1899. It seems like you wanted too much out of Volition as if you wanted it to be like any Rockstar game. How was playing The Love shack at the end of saints row reboot any different from the ending to saints row 4 when they were all dancing at the end?
