About 5 years ago I saw a fella walking through town eating a bag of taytos with a spoon and not a bother in the world on him

Did ya hear the one about the Irish people who just believed everything they heard and went along with anything that was happening at the time Tom? Yeah man. They all ended up wearing masks and looking sad and depressive as fook! The Fighting Irish! The myth! The legend! The absolute SPOOF of it. Mad oul story. Cowardly story. The Irish. Me bollix.

I was in Australia a few years ago and I was in a car with another irish lad We passed by a church and your man blessed himself. I knew he wasn't religious so i asked him what was he doing? He said it was out of habit The best bit was it was a protestant church

It was my wedding day ( , I’m from Belfast but me and the girlfriend decided to get married in Donegal ) wedding was at 2pm so with loads of time to kill I said to the lads , come on we’ll get a pint or two of Guinness before the ceremony .There was a pub near the chapel but it was closed so I went in to the post office next door and asked the boyo behind the counter what time the pub opened and he told me soon , we hung about for a while and the next thing the pub door was opened by the boyo from the Post office who had changed his shirt to the pubs logo polo shirt and went about his bar duties serving pints

Ya cunny funt Tommy. I have a friend from Mullingar who is your double! He was up in Derry visiting about 2019 or so and went for a few in badgers bar with our pal 'Pat the yank' in the city centre, sat having craic with the locals who all thought was you, all the while he was reeling on the inside. I don't know what would happen to the world if you two met. All the best from a Derryman in Mayo!

Glad I'm not the only one- Many of us Irish have terrible depression, some very serious but when we listen to Tieran, and George Carlin, the depression is temporarily lifted. Tommy is my all-time favorite.

Tommy should write a memoir. Would be a mighty book I'd say . Combination of funny an deadly deep an serious. I'm reading Bob Mortimers book at the minute and it's very good. Best memoir ive read though is John McGahern .

Tommy's great because he tells it like it is back home, but oh my goodness the redhead sitting on his left...... however I'm sad that the people who take exception to the F word in his act have obviously never been to Ireland...... As Scottish comedian the Great Billy Connolly said many times. "Show me a word more versatile and I'll gladly use it"' Nah those people are right, they should go to some other country......

A Chinese restaurant opened up in a small town in Galway. The following week there was an unrelated article in the 'Tuam Herald' about dogs been stolen. An elderly neighbour was convinced by people in the local pub that the two were connected. He excitedly told my brother that the Chinese were cooking the dogs in 'Kungfu' sauce!!!
