Hi Ian, " Tales of a raggy tramline " sounds awesome and I felt the drums were the highlight of this instrumental and everything else relegated to the background. You kept the playing also to the min. A not heard Shadows instrumental enjoyed thoroughly. I guess the floods have receded and things are getting back to normal. Morning Krishna, this old 1962 instrumental was indeed a sort of drum highlighted instrumental yet not a drum solo as such, I think it was also one of their first attempts of an instrumental with a funny title ( as there were many ) an instrumental which still holds up somewhat today, although maybe a little dated now it’s still fun to play and enhanced with the accompaniment of the Shadows drummer the great Brian Bennett. Glad to add it to my portfolio as it was fun to play. Glad you liked it too’ It’s still a little soggy underfoot here after storm Bert passed through but at least it got rid of the snow……….. ( not a fan of the white stuff ) On to a slower number for the weekend, yet another Lennart Clerwall composition and back to the Burns Dream guitar again. See you there at the weekend. Hi Al, I was looking through the early Shadow’s albums ( this being there second one I think ) and realised I hadn’t done this one………… so here it is. Nice and steady and quite easy to play, glad you liked it. ( I didn’t change anything and played it on a normal tuning set up.) the BT was another Sanctuary success, a mix of two instrumental tracks with the lead taken out and rhythm guitar lifted a little, on reflection I think the backing could have been a little louder, never mind….. more scrutiny required before publishing.
