@AngryPieMan4 жыл бұрын
@@shrekthe55thsharkking It ain't. That's actually a problem with Korra - the seasons are so short that there's zero time to really get attached to the characters. You mostly see them all solely engaged in plot stuff, so the group doesn't really feel like they're a gang of friends, and the individuals don't feel like real characters. The Last Airbender excelled in defining characters, and characters need room to breath for that. You can blame it on bad writing, but I'll blame it on Nickelodeon not setting up the writers for success. Just to clarify though: I don't think Korra is that bad. It has some really good moments. Just a lot of missed potential too. Any show could actually be quite exceptional, but will start looking bad when compared to The Last Airbender. Korra suffers even more from this as a sequel series. It's hard to live up to the hype.

@panagis6304 жыл бұрын
To clarify,as many said Mako Iwamatsu was the voice actor for General Iroh(up to book two) the song "leaves from the vine" is the last thing Mako ever recorded, it is said that his voice trembling at the end is really becasue Mako was overwhelmed by emotion, he knew he was dying from esophageal cancer at the time, whether it was because of his imminent death,end of his career etc none can say. Also the Voice actor picked up on the role of general Iroh(and as Aku from samurai Jack, another Iconic Mako voiced character)is Greg Balwin, in any cons he takes palce he is always fulfiling requests by saying voice lines from his roles(it happens frequently) but he always refuses the request to sing "leaves from the vine" as a sign of respect to Mako.

"I've always wondered if animals miss other animals." We had two sister cats. After one of them died, and her sister never found out, she spent months every single day walking around the house and yowling at corners, which she would only take after carefully peeking around too see if her sister was there. It was clear longing and heartbreak, because all she did after that was mope, and you could honestly tell it completely changed the cat and it was a lack of closure that really got her. If you mean other types of animals, they're obviously friends across species, it doesn't matter to them. You can see animals feel all the same things people feel, even if it's not as complex.

This EP has a lot of development for everyone. In tales of Toph and Katara, Toph got happy when Katara told her she was beautiful Because she could feel her heart beat and knew she was beIng honest, Toph crying when those bully girls told her she was a "Clown" made her cry showing she's very vulnerable and tries to hide it. This was the first real time Katara was nice to Toph. Tale of Iroh 😥 Iroh misses his son so he helps out a toddler, almost pre teens and an adult making it feel like he's raising his son all over again and the ending 😥😥😥, RIP Mako. Tale of Aang Like Iroh said "the best way to help yourself is by helping others" Aang helped that zoo guy because he misses Appa and helping those animals is like Caring for Appa, it's almost like tale of Iroh but very light-hearted. Tale of Sokka LMAO, Sokka learns that he can't always pull the girls in a harsh way Tale of Zuko Zuko gets awkward AF when he actually goes out with a normal person and he learns to loosen up a bit and that ending was cute Tale of Momo Momo's missing Appa and went on his own journey, he gets his own antagonists who later redeems themselves and he later gets proof Appa Actually is in ba sing se and also that ending 😥😥😥

Katara and Toph bonding and having fun was very heartwarming. Them taking down the mean girls was also so satisfying! Sucks to be Zuko...It looks like he doesn't want to get too attached or settled down in Ba Sing Se, much less get involved with someone who may find out his identity someday. It makes sense but it's sad. I love Iroh's tale! It makes one wonder if the reason he's always so kind and helpful to others is because he wasn't able to help his own son... "Leaves from the vine" also killed me. At first it was such a happy song Iroh used to cheer up a crying boy, and then it turned into a tragic sad song dedicated to his late son on his birthday. The mood just 180 real quick. Then of course, that "In honor of Mako" bit really hurt my heart. Rest in peace, Mako. Thank you for bringing Uncle Iroh to life and bestowing many inspiring and wise life lessons to us. And if you were wondering what the writing on the picture said, it roughly translated to: "To General Iroh: See you after we win the War. Your loyal son, Lu Ten"

Mako is the original voice actor of Iroh. that song brings tears to my eyes every time i hear it. Iroh is truly my favorite character in the show because there is just so many great things about him. I do believe that one of the main characters in the legend of korra was named after mako.

Greg Baldwin is not his brother
@SweelFor4 жыл бұрын
Did you made that all up or are you repeating false facts that someone else made up? That song was not the last lines he read for the show. He did not know he would die "soon". Greg Baldwin is not his brother AT ALL, not part of his family whatsoever. Mako was of japanese origin while Baldwin is american. Use your brain, they had to find another VOICE ACTOR to replace him, not his god damn made up brother. Please have some decency and stop making up false facts about a dead man to get upvotes on youtube

"But he doesn't know that's his footprint" um yes he does, that's why he curled up like that. Also this wasn't a filler. It progressed the story in telling us something about Appa. The other stories were fillers yes but not Momos.

Two things: 1) This is my favourite episode of the whole show because of the emotions for each of the characters as well as it giving them time to breathe amid all the action and lets them go about their day and we see how they could live a normal life. 2) THE NEXT EPISODE IS SO GOOD BUT ALSO THE WORST FOR YOUR HEART
@Kidapollo924 жыл бұрын
The green bag in which Momo sleeps and finds Appa's fur is the same one Sokka bought in "The Blind Bandit". The paw print to which the pygmy pumas lead Momo the same paw print Appa made in his lost days

by far the worst, and by far the most filler-y, main plot in the show was for the episode _avatar day_ -- however, _avatar day_ also had a couple small scenes with iroh and zuko. we wouldn't want to lose those, but we could easily attach them to a different episode and throw _avatar day_ in the garbage.

Iroh’s sons death is the reason he abdicated. He was the first in line to be fire lord. Also Mako is the original voice actor of Iroh, he passed away.

Some sad facts, the pain you hear in (Mako) Iroh’s voice is not acting, the voice actor was struggling to sing cause he had throat cancer. Also the picture of his son, is actually a picture of young Mako. Rip😞
@Kidapollo924 жыл бұрын
An uncredited Greg Baldwin provides a solitary line of dialogue for Iroh during the character's tale. When Iroh sings to the crying boy to calm him down, the boy's doll is an Earth Kingdom soldier. In "The Tale of Aang", part of the soundtrack for the end credits can be heard in the background when Aang is looking around in the zoo. The music has only one instrument though, as opposed to the end credits which had many instruments. The hill where Iroh sets the altar for his son is identical to the hill shown in a flashback at the beginning of the episode "Bitter Work".
