Daemons usually have one or more of their emotions blocked out, but Velvet's personality being warped was purely a result of psychological trauma.

@@noob1n8or Well put. Velvet spends much of the game clinging to anger and hatred, in no small part to avoid admitting to herself how hurt and lonely she actually is. She tries to push her grief aside and lets her anger run unchecked, but deep down, she's still the same girl she was back in Aball. No matter how much she tries to pretend she's not. Travelling with the others more and more brings out that girl, sometimes without her even realizing her façade is cracking.

You know, the way Eizen talks about his sister made me think throughout playing that the party was going to eventually meet Edna only for the credits to roll and (after getting the sad feels) wonder why. Then I learned this game had a sequel, then I learned actual this game was a prequel, and Edna was a playable character in Zestiria. Made a lot more sense that they were "setting up" (in a prequel sense) Edna and Zaveid and the dragon.

Christina Vee the voice of Velvet does great work with all the characters she voices,and it’s a wide range of them,from Darkness in konosuba to Ladybug in that show miraculous to the pig in seven deadly sins. Erica lindbeck always does good voice either young cute characters or strong women. Erica Mendez has quality of the last two voice actors I said. The voice of Rokurou always brings flare to whoever he voices. Japanese voice actors aren’t bad & I’m also a fan of a few of them but something I noticed is it seems they are a lot of times directed to always be over the top,to exaggerate emotion,which is the equivalent of someone doing acting for a death scene & not knowing when to finally die already. I may not know how to speak Japanese & my English speaking ain’t very good but growing up with half side of my family speaking English & the other half speaking various Asian languages I got to learn what just don’t sound right or is over the top. (If it a comedy it’s okay to be over the top but rage or sad parts no)
