Hi guys! I wish you all a happy and Tales of filled year!
**Please read the description of Doom**
Some slowdowns and some mistakes but the nightmare is finally over (not going to do that again EVER).

Character Set up
═════════════════════════════════
▶Equipment:
Obviously, you should maximize Philia's Swordian Device before even trying the fight. It is very important to gain a lot of blast so you shouldn't equip any armor. Philia has the advantage/disadvantage to have low Hp and defense so her BC gauge will fill very fast. The most important is to choose the good jewels. Those should be of purple color (critical rate) and at level 8, to be able to do long combos against Barbatroll. I'm pretty sure you don't want to do a 40mins fight so Edge Material is pretty much mandatory. The second accessory is harder to choose, even harder if you have that stupid "No menu" restriction. I used a Physical Material to be able to deal Sound damage against Barbabitch and the Swordsmen of Doom. CC is not a real problem here as you get some when you defeat an enemy.
▶Artes:
Again, this depends on your restrictions. I went for Lightning and Twin Bomb to start combos. Holy Lance is easily the best Artes to keep an enemy in the air. Force Field and Hide Party are mandatory for a "No Damage" run. There is only one slot left and I chose Tidal Wave to get rid of Hugo and also because it is a great spell to combo in combination with Holy Lance.
Time to start what I always considered as a "Desperate Battle".

Phase 1: Story Bosses
═════════════════════════════════
▶Transition Wave: Wolf and Basilisks
Gotta bomb them all! Stay to the left to welcome the first wave.
▶Wave 1: Batista
Batista can be killed with a simple BC. Try to kill the mobs first to force Tiberius to appear and defeat both bosses with a BC.
▶Wave 2: Tiberius
See above. Once Tiberius is defeated, go to the right side of the arena and kill all spear wielders.
▶Wave 3: Dalis
Sacred Blame can't kill Dalis if you don't use the sound element. SB has a limited range and I used it to keep a Salamander alive (they appear only if you already killed all monsters before). This monster can raise your BC gauge quickly. You will need a lvl3 gauge for the next wave.
▶Wave 4: Greybum
Watch out for Lightning or his charge attack at the beginning. You must kill 2 monsters before using your BC. That way, new monsters will appear during Rebirth Crusader and will die.
▶Wave 5: Baruk
Baruk is hard to predict when his Hp is greater than 50%. The best is to use Hide party to build up your BC gauge and blast everything. You absolutely need to have a full BC gauge before defeating Baruk.
▶Wave 6: Ilene
Burn that Witch!
▶Wave 7: Rembrandt
It's pretty hard to cast Tidal Wave against him so I took some time to beat him. Divine Power is great here since it's a non-elemental BC (can't be reduced). Again, you need a full gauge for the next wave.
▶Wave 8: Hugo
Most annoying part is the Buers. You need to kill them first as they can hit you from far away. After that, try to force Hugo to blast as Ambivalence will fully fill your BC gauge.

Phase 2: Groups of Bosses

▶Transition Wave: Those things that I blasted so fast
I decided to blast my way here since I am not sure if they are the ones that make Batista or Hugo appear randomly. This and they attack quite randomly.
▶Wave 1: Doom swordsmen
If you kept your BC gauge full, good for you. The doom swordsmen are not strong enough to fill your gauge to at least lvl2 and Sacred Penance without Sound weakness can't kill Dalis. Nevertheless, I still decided to go that way. This is clearly not the good way to do that one but I hate the transition wave. This is the hardest wave of the Arena but a mandatory step if you want to "Exceed the limit"!
▶Transition Wave: Useless sorceresses
You don't even have to build your blast gauge here.
▶Wave 2: Doom Corp
Usually Baruk will welcome you (read troll you) with his blast which will give you a free Rebirth Crusader!!! Yeah!!! One RB to kill Ilene, two RB to beat Baruk. After that you will have to deal with Rembrandt and Hugo. Try to go far from Hugo. He will likely use Turbulence and give you a lvl1 BC gauge.

New monsters will appear during the BC and get hit. Try to be a little bit on the left. That way you will get enough blast from the left bunnies and won’t be bothered by the ones at your right (they can easily hit you before you start your BC). ►Wave 2: Gentlemen They give you plenty of Blast and are easy to stagger. Don’t go on the left side if you don’t want to be hit by the Tiger Fork Artes. They are not extremely hard. Just “Go Through Like a Bullet”. Also… dat GentleKebab at 9:59! ►Wave 3: Kurea’s boyfriend If you don’t have the No menu restriction, use Piko Piko hammer to hit his weakness, otherwise prepare for a long battle. That’s the problem of the Arena: you will have to face that kind of situation, especially if you are “Aiming for the Top”. Holy Lance and Divine Power are the best way to deal decent damage to Finley. Thankfully, his moves are really easy to forecast and dodge. ►Wave 4: Buurrreaaa-tos I failed so much against him, especially because I started to shake and couldn’t focus on the fight anymore. It’s quite hard to stagger him with a charge attack (I should have tried something else to initiate the combo). My god, when I saw that World Destroyer + 18 Penetrate I was so desperate ;_; I had to “Risk Everything”! When I saw that Philia survived it, I was so surprised I kept using Force Field lol. Fail again on that final combo but the Paralyze status (which I always considered as one of the most useless status) saved my ass. ═════════════════════════════════ Misc ═════════════════════════════════ ►Restrictions: No Damage/No Menu/No Items/No Herbs Chaos Mode - Philia Solo ►The End: This is officially the end of the run. Ok, I've still got quite a big chunk of video to go through but I'll say this after reading everything and the sole fact this is even possible: I've been watching Tales videos since around 2006 and things don't ever surprise me anymore. This does. You are the most insane Tales player ever. In the best possible way I could ever say it. I've never seen anyone attempt something as crazy as this without Menus, Herbs AND No Damage. You've got my fucking respect dude. There are very few players if any that match your level of effort. You are an inspiration for what the Tales fans need to do to bring the games to a higher level. Seeing something like this makes me want to push myself to the limit too. Again, tons of respect. :)

You read the whole description?!? You are as crazy as I am ! lol I know I’m insane, my friends tell me that a lot of time :D (but now I know it’s good thing haha). No Herbs makes that fight actually easier. If you raise your attack power, you will also get extra HP and this is no good because you won’t gain enough Blast during the fight. I tried it on separate file and I wasn’t able to finish the First Phase. -Should I mention that I'm only lvl 155?- Thanks a lot for your comment and sorry for the late reply (I’m still shaking XD)

If so, then maxing that would make infiniting muuuch easier for you. I think minor things would be easier too with herbs here or there. But maybe you're right. les deux :-) j'ai la version originale DVD que j'avais achetée sur ebay ( environ 70eu ) et je joue aussi sur emulateur PS2, tu peux trouver la version iso sur le net :-) Non clairement la version PSX a mal vieilli et c'est plus du tout le même jeu/gameplay lol

If you haven't noticed I took today to pull a Muctales marathon. In celebration of being able to comment again XD (Sorry If I filled your e-mail lol). This was a great way to end it. Knew I was in for a treat the moment I saw the description......then saw it spill into the comments o.0 Dedication at its best. Simply too awesome for words. Hidden songs within description was a nice touch. Video itself......just wow. Not sure why Force Field isn't my favorite move ever but I need to get my head checked XD. Felt your pain during stuff like 17:30 but your persistence pimp slapped that minor setback and forged a path to victory. Good way to start the New Year indeed.

It's crazy how Phillia's Blast gauge skyrockets as she's using Force Field. I tried spamming Force Field in my game, but I still get killed so quickly. I wish I could have timing as precise as you. :P Maybe then I can tackle a Chaos playthrough.

Tigerfog I removed my armor and any kind of defensive bonus to get that BG bonus. Destiny has an anti-spam formula so you can easily get punished if you use the Arte too much. Also, it sucks against heavy enemies

***** (using my other account cuz it has Bender, yeah!) You're playing a very risky game then. I mean, the whole game is based on risk vs reward, no? The weapons and armors and stuff are never ultimately good until you get the ultimate equipments, which also don't have cool stuff like "Blast up on charge". It's funny that you say that the game is anti-spam because I got through most of the game just spamming Indignation and then Big Bang with Philia (I suck at Force Field). What is the anti-spam formula? Is it the fact that you're forced to do weird stuff like "Search Gald" to power up Nurse and Heal? :( :( :( Or the fact that doing hi-ougi against some bosses will result in an immedaite revenge hi-ougi? (damn you Miktran!)

Hoang-Quan Pham Yes you can make the game very "High Risk High Reward". I would dare say some armors/weapons are better than the ultimate ones due to their effect (like the cocktail dress). There is indeed an anti-spam formula and it's quite a strong one. However, it only applies when you use the exact same Arte in a row. If you alternate between 2 or 3 Artes, it won't have any negative effect (sadly....) The anti-spam formula reduces the chance of staggering, damage output and increase significantly the Blast gauge of the enemy.

Dang! those are bad penalities... Didn't stop me from spamming maware rondo against Barbatos (the only way I could beat him), but still, against bosses like Irene, it was HELL. I think there's a swordian skill that makes recasting the same spell faster, no? It's funny that you can recast faster, but then it's a trap because you get penalized for it. :(

On emulator because my ps2 is almost dead and hardly boots games. Not to mention I had no recording device at the time so using an emulator made the recording part much easier.

On Windows. I know Pcsx2 isn't that great so it has a lot of issues. Maybe try a different setting/audio plugging ? I know the music can disappear if the game fails to load something but I'm no sure if it's your problem.

DarkBalmungBladeWing Yes it's a life saver ( ^_^)／ However, it has a pretty bad recovery and doesn't push enemy very high. So, against heavy enemies it's pretty bad :/ It's damn useful against light enemies though!

I played them all except destiny, destiny 2, eternia, ps3 version of vesperia and the last two tales of world. +DarkBalmungBladeWing From what I heard, 2D RPGs aren't that popular outside Japan, so that may be a reason why Bandai Namco won't localize it. For Vesperia, Microsoft paid for its Xbox 360 exclusivity in the West, so Bandai Namco has to pay a lot of money if they want to localize Vesperia PS3.
