Dunk and egg stories are the ones I look forward to instead of WoW because of the optimism and light hearted storytelling. The current situation in Westeros is too bleak and without much hope left that I believe that GRRM wrote himself in a corner because of the scrapped timeskip.

I just read a knight of the seven kingdoms and it took about 9 hours. Even if they adopted it word for word/scene for scene and every piece of dialog in the book was in it, it would only be one seasons worth of material. I’d rather GRRM finish winds of winter and a dream of spring before he croaks. Dude is pushing 80. If he keeps at his current pace we will be lucky to get a dream of spring before he’s 90.

Oh my god please can we see prime bloodraven and could they not try and force him to be like his counterpart in the show ? I think most fans would be completely fine with a change of character that is closer to the books. After all in the show I don’t think his lineage is touched on at all, tho it actually plays an important role in his story and the worlds because he is another cog in the song of ice and fire (an important one for sure). His Blackwood heritage from his mother and pure Targaryen blood from his father makes him a unique character , tho truly most of his powers seem to originate from his mothers side as he utilizes the magic of the old gods at all times .
