🌟 DESCRIPTION🌟
Tales of Kenzera: ZAU follows the story of a young shaman named Zau, who must capture the spirits of three monsters as offerings to Kalunga, the God of Death, who promises to revive his father. Zau is very athletic, being able to double jump, wall jump and dash through air. Zau is equipped with two weapons: the sun mask and the moon mask. The sun mask allows Zau to deal melee damage up close, while the moon mask enables him to damage enemies from afar. Both masks have their own distinct upgrade paths. As players defeat enemies, they will collect "Ulogi", a form of soul energy that can be used to purchase new skills for Zau.[2] Tales of Kenzera is a 2.5D Metroidvania game. Players will gradually gain new skills, enabling them unlock new paths to progress.

What a beautifully and wonderfully made game. I thoroughly enjoyed your game-play walk-through. I really liked the level designs of the area's explored they were wonderful and visually appealing. I enjoyed this Son and Father journey and story which allowed us the audience to learn more about Zau as a character and to ultimately grow as a character throughout his journey through Kenzera. The West African mythological creatures and mythological references. Having Masks that represents both the Sun and Moon and having abilities from both that one can switch through is a really cool mechanic. The platforming was really nice also it reminded me of Prince of Persia Lost Crown. Thoroughly enjoyed this African Tale of a game.

Dude, the game is great, but after exactly 2:54:34, everything just disappears after the box. It's like the whole world turned invisible, and the enemies are just floating in thin air. I'm this close to giving up on the game.

Interesting framing device to have gameplay set in a book in the game. I haven’t played games in a while, is it common for objectives to remain on the screen like in this case upper left corner? It’s intrusive.

Yes, its common nowdays to have the objectives all the time on the screen. In some games you can turn off all the informations in the options menu

This may seem odd to some but I didn't come here to watch the game as I'm currently playing it but to praise the developers on an excellent job on an awesome game that covers all grounds on the things I personally seek in video games: metroivanias along with spirituality and culture. Personally I believe that culture, spirituality and metroivanias go hand in hand and again fantastic job and I did pre-order Tales of Kenzera Zau and most reviews are giving this 9/10 and I stand by them as no this may not be perfect as the only flaw this has for me is playing it safe and sticking too close to the formula other metroivania titles but beyond that definitely an incredible game well worth playing I strongly recommend Tales of Kenzera Zau to any all Metroivania fans as the gameplay is solid and some of the best I've played in a while and the shamanic combat styles of the sun and the moon are absolutely awesome in design and cater to both shooter and melee players excellently and this is just personal but I absolutely loved the mention of the game Mancala as I don't think it is a game that is overall known, appreciated or recognised in today's society due to changing trends but it is a game I personally know very well and love in that I may not be a master at it but I do know how to play it pretty well

I got stuck at the 57:51 mark, so I rage quit and deleted the game. After spending nearly and hour trying and dying I just couldn't endure it anymore. While I like that you respawn in the same place you last died I wish I had the ability to backtrack and possibly upgrade my character. Unfortunately I didn't have the rage meter ability (or whatever you call it), so the enemies just kept coming and coming I could never beat them. Maybe I'm just a p***y but I feel like the game is purposely frustrating at this section. Maybe I'll redownload it but for now I need a break.
