Hi Leaf. A farm sim with shapeshifting seems interesting but this still looks like it will need a lot more polishing. Some of the design choices seem a bit weird, too. BTW, Immortal Life came out of early access recently. Will you be looking into it again?

I will, I just installed Immortal Life again and started replaying it to see what changed :)

This game looks very pretty, and like it has a lot of potential. I agree with the points you brought up. I both rolled my eyes and side-eyed the screen upon seeing "female protagonist" as a stretch goal. Are not women and girls the majority of players for life sim games? Seems like a weird decision. Also, character customization is indeed a must in these sorts of games. Otherwise people complain they don't want to buy the game because they can't play who they want. Aside from the hunk you kept pointing out, I feel like most of the "male" love interests have boring designs, while all the "female" love interests are, well, interesting. I hope the designs improve. Though I do also find the furry options a weird choice, but to each their own. I am excited for the various animals you can raise, especially the capybara. I know my little sis loves them, so she'd be excited to play this just on that alone. The yokai aspect only adds to this game's allure. Being able to shift into different yokai forms will definitely set this game apart from other life sims, so I hope they focus on that aspect. Hopefully this game will be fun and beautiful, with plenty of options and lots of content. This was already on my wishlist since the trailer was shown at the Game Awards I believe, so thanks for this video and its additional info.

Well, the furry romance choices are fairly logical due to the fact that the townies (or at least some of them) are monsters of various origins, but it does feel like an excuse, doesn't it? :D I agree, male options are not the best. Aside from "the hunk" that I actually like, the two human-looking ones are somewhat bland, and others are, well, a humanoid cat and an oversized otter. I'm sure someone will find that enticing¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I'm curious about the unrevealed portrait, though.

@@leafandgames What you said about the anthropomorphic romance options makes sense. I'm curious about the unrevealed portrait also. I'm hoping it'll be a Fang-esque man, or some other sort of bishounen/pretty man. A big lady who is a counterpart to Hephaestus would also be really cool. Hopefully they will redesign Musashi and Sasaki to be more unique looking.
