I agree with the description! Several game sites have also said that you HAVE to sit through the cut scenes, but you don't! All they had to do was hold the A and B buttons simultaniously until the screen cracked. GOD! I hate it when even the critics can't get it right!!!!! By the way I got the good ending. It was cute at the end!!!!

Don't care what anyone says, I love johnny bosch as Emil. He gets that innocent feel for normal Emil yet gets that anger/hatred for Ratatosk. Admittedly there were a few moments that didn't sound right but that goes for ALL games that have Voice work in them. Also, love the battle system in this game. 360 movement made battles much easier in terms of avoidability but by using the free movement, your putting yourself at risk. just good.

I followed you from the beggning until about where you meet Zelos..then I played with my freind until about the time we met Yuan. Then lol I caught back up with you! And your right the game was good. The only problem I say was the various restrictions but other than that...Tales of Symphonia:Dawn of the New World is a great game

Ratatosk's voice is a rougher, deeper version of Emil's voice. You try to make your voice dark and angry. It is not that hard to seemingly make an evil side of yourself.

Emil is a pretty good actor to be acting as Ratatosk but it's sad that he had to force himself to choke Marta... I couldn't help but laugh when Emil was laughing as Ratatosk because all I could see was Lelouch (Code Geass) instead XD

Easy way to tell if he's in Ratatosk mode: The eyes. If they're red, it's Ratatosk, if they're blueish-green it's Emil.

This game was fun. I played the first one too and though this one didn't have as much stuff as the first one, I still had fun with it. Regarding the voice thing, I think it's because people wanted the voice cast of the first one to reprise their roles and only a few of them could. The cast was still good so I don't give a shit. Better see the next part.

The game is definately not as bad as everyone says. Why does everyone expect the succecors to be as good as the first ones? It´s nearly impossible cause the first ones are mostly bound to great memories of gameplay. I think it´s a great game and even if it´s not as good as ToS - who cares? It´s awesome anyway! I´ve bought it and had a lot of fun with this masterpiece. I can only recommend it to you guys who liked the first game. It´s a great fun to see all the places and characters again.

I feel this battle would've made more sense if you were Lloyd and Marta against Emil and some of the monsters you've aquired. At least then you wouldn't have had to intentionally lose in order to progress the story.

I, personally, almost stopped because the game started out soooooo slow and I had read bad reviews. But it turned out to be a really good game with a really good storyline ... albeit, the "weak" version of Emil did become annoying at times. "I'm sorry ...."

Eh, Emil beat Ratatosk in his mind. He proved to himself that he didn't need him anymore because he grew up from the wimp that used to be to a true badass. You notice that his voice becomes more and more like Ratatosk's without transforming which was a sign of his maturing.

It really was a lot of fun! I wasn't expecting it to be an EPIC SEQUEL to Tales of Symphonia or whatever, but I was expecting it to be a fun little game with some cool new characters. I really, really enjoyed myself, and enjoyed seeing the new world. I didn't like some of the new voice actors, but it was still fun regardless.

Not so. There is one moment where to cheer up Marta, Ratatosk lets Emil talk, but the eyes stay red. Therefore, eyes don't matter. Only personality.

@ Pokefan9000 they are 1. Don't pledge for Lloyd 2. Stop Richter from killing Marta 3. Not leaving the Triet Ruins when you bait the sleeping monster out of the entrance 4. Don't get hit for more than 14 by lightning in Lightning Tower(Big one and If you do get hit 14 times you get his Lloyd's Mask 3 but I don't think its all that worth it) 5. Go into the area when asked in Earth Temple 6. What you do in the last battles.

the funny thing is that skip feature is in the manual of the game, meaning this "critics" don't even do the more basic thing like reading a game's manual XD.

its pretty simple about the choices tbh 1 if you sware alengence to Llyde the great (start of game) you only need to go to the Firee Temple less then 12 times if not . . . you only got 4 shots to get the core and yes you have to get all the cores besides the light one first (and earth) and you cant be hit by lightning 14 or more times in lightning temple, then finaly you cant kill Marta or Llyde in final battle

I think the main reason it was considered so badly was because it was released near the same time as Vesperia (which was presented in H.D. and also felt like it got more attention ^^') but this game is awesome!! XD I'm still playin it and havin a blast. :P The V.A. is great, didn't like the new Lloyd V.A. though -_-, didn't ruin the experience though ^^, Emil had an amazing V.A. XD and the story was great :p A truly underestimated game XD

Well it DEFINATLEY sux compared to the first one. The battle system in this game was very satisfying but almost everything else, story length, no world map, Lack of previous character, was a let down. Still this fight here, especially on hard mode is so much more fufilling then the mithos battle, if only Richter knew retribution...hmm then again maybe not XD

i got the true ending on my first try. it wasn't terribly hard, all you have to do is to do certain things in the 1st chapter and in two of the temples. i'm purposely aiming for a normal ending on my 2nd playthrough to get lloyd's 3rd mask
