Why does he go back to into the adult mode also I’m confused about the machine.. where did it come from? Is it supposed to be symbolism?

the machine represents the 3 forms (which are also minibosses you can fight back in Welgaia) The fugitive, the neglected and the Judged. Adult mode is his true form as Yggdrasil and no longer Mithos
