"Then I'll turn around" That really blurs the line between endearing and dumb. Luke in a nutshell.

The most awesome/uncliche couple ever. Luke was so caring while Tear was so stubborn to the point obtain the title Strong of Heart. Luke and Tear make each other look better.

How sad that it is so underrated :(

Yeah. Their romance develops so well throughout the story, and for once, Luke isn't some emotionless, hot guy who treats the lady like trash and Tear isn't some perfect, precious princess that needs saving and pins after a guy that treats her like dirt. He loves her because she supports him and treats him like an adult, and she loves his earnestness and determined nature. If these two crossed that line from friends to romance and then to intimacy, I don't doubt they'd be one hell of a couple.

I think at the end, they already crossed the line since they truly love each other when Tear confessed her love to Luke (Unknown if Luke heard that or not). Yup, this is like an awesome classic romance between Kenshin and Kaoru but in a different fashion or reverse. Aside from Guy, it was obviously Tear was his right hand while Guy was his left hand. You can't help but rooting for them. The other 3 are like on Asch side mentally. Jade is a different story but Anise and Natalia well you got it.

@harestardai17 He say's "If you just tell me what you really feel, then I could..." I think he wanted to help her, but he knew that she didn't want to appear weak as in "not wanting anyone to see me like this." I think it would have been an insult to her wishes. If she wanted him to hug her, he probably would have. I think that it shows how strong Tear is by not brawling helplessly in Luke's arms and readily preparing to move forward and how respectful Luke is by letting her do so.

Gah! Tear can be so freakin' stubborn; I'm glad Luke stuck with her, it shows he really loves her. At least they aren't as clueless as LloydxColette and Cless/Mint

I will admit that Tear and Guy are the most loyal to Luke and the closest to his heart. And yes, the team did destroy him after Azeriuth, and he kind of deserved it. However, over the course of the game, the team starts to trust him again and are pretty supportive of him, albeit in their own way. I'd say, long after Luke has cut his hair, that Natalia is the only one who rallies behind Asch more then the rest of the party. Even Jade, in his own way, considers Luke a friend.

Luke x Tear……….Still a better love story than Twilight lol But in all seriousness. Luke and Tear’s story is told and portrayed so well. From hateful and untrusting to finding some common ground, to untrusting again then slowly growing into a bond of mutual respect and then Love. TOA is peak storytelling.

Pretty like you said about the couple. But if for the party, I would say that before he killed thousand in the mining town, both Jade and Anise were like using him as a tool for their own goal. Natalia's heart was like ALL FOR Asch since she found out about his true identity. When the party verbally murder Luke, Anise, Jade and Natalia are very mean. Tear though did blame him but also blame her for not knowing better. As the party was all for Asch, Tear and guy stay with Luke.

Rpg needs a relationship between hero and heroine, kissing, hugging, cute convos etc. ESPECIALLY TALES
@Makilore12 жыл бұрын
I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I don't want them to make a Tales of the Abyss 2. I wouldn't mind a prequel about Yulia and her adventures in the Dawn Age, but not a sequel. I feel that the game is pretty self contained. However, I REALLY wish they would put an easter egg in another tales game about the Tales of the Abyss cast.

@Makilore That's true. Tear exemplifies what it is to be a woman. I totally agree that they are very made for each other.

I think the whole team is behind Luke. Luke and Tear did cross that romantic line. If things kept going without Luke's illness, I don't doubt they would have started being more romantic. As for the intimate line, not yet, but there are major hints about throughout the game. Luke is the only one Tear has shown her vulnerable side to, and Tear is the only one person that Luke goes to for advice. The disclosure between them is far beyond friendly terms. If only the ending was more clear...

It was always obvious that they felt something even in the newspaper Luke confessed that he loves to tear and that he would confess it but he could not out of fear

@vidvieweronly Hell yeah they are made for each other! As far as I'm concerned they had the best chemisty out of all the Tales series' couples!
@zhaoyun25512 жыл бұрын
I would say only Jade was like the most flexible character in the series that he could be friend with anybody but also enemies with anybody. I also see that in him so that's why I excluded him from the Asch's party. Anise is...well she just going with the flow. Ion was like her only one she care about. I like the Abyss cast but somehow a lot of their action was very questionable. However, like u said, we still can see them as part of Luke party.
@Makilore14 жыл бұрын
@vidvieweronly I feel like it's the most natural/uncliche romance that I've ever seen in a video game. First off, Luke isn't the usual macho/strong silent type, but he can still take care of himself and has a good heart. Tear isn't the usual hopeless, pure, princess. She can take care of herself and see the good in others. Now that's what makes a woman! And Luke loves her for it! They are so made for each other!

That's why people are asking for the prequel of FFX for Braska, Jetch, and Auron. It was also an original concept before ENIX (Yes, ENIX because Square Soft intended to make prequel instead) replaced the idea and make A DISASTER SEQUEL which was disgusting and lameass sequel.
@Makilore12 жыл бұрын
Well, excluding Symphonia, and Devil May Cry (Because I haven't played it), FFX wasn't that great of a game to warrant a sequel. Yes I do enjoy the game and playing it, but I can't stand Tidus as a main character, and some of the unanswered questions in the game. Personally, I think that if Final Fantasy were to make a sequel to any previous FF, they would have to set the game in the same world, far in the past or in the future, with little relation to the prequel's characters for it work.

A prequel would be great because very few Sequel actually make the game good. Your opinion is now Very popular lately since some people asking for them more. Just look at FFX. They are now asking for the prequel instead of the disastrous Sequel which was OMFG lame. Symphonia was a pure example of epic sequel fail. Look at Devil May Cry, 2 almost killed the series if not for the perfect prequel 3 which set the standard for 4 which was good but not as good like 3.

Prequels are more susceptible to problems than sequels are. Writers usually fall into the trap of forming contrived connections between the original and "past" content (such as having a younger version of someone from the previous work appear and conveniently contribute in a meaningful way despite how highly unlikely it would be for them to coincidentally run into people out to save the world just as they would eventually do in the future). It just never feels organic or believable. They just make the world feel smaller. Crisis Core in particular, while liked among newer fans, wasn't something well regarded among most classic FFVII fans, as it just came off as messy, trying to cram a bunch of parallels, revising certain situations, and forcefully wedging in unwelcomed parallels. The whole game was a textbook example of how writers got so wrapped up in the legacy of what they were producing a prequel for, that they couldn't have but overindulge themselves with these fanservice-y ideas that just strained credibility. Not saying I'd want a sequel either, since it's better to just leave things alone and move forward with entirely new installments. Just saying, prequels tend to be far more problematic due to the whole conundrum of essentially building on a world, but writing backwards in a timeline, which is results in all these aforementioned contrived connections being made.
