That is what I suspected. Though if Ashoka was a boy, would the father be the one taking him out for the first hunt. Somehow though, I think mothers would be the ones, for both genders. Everyone made the Order 66 connection, but I just thought of the time she gets captured and later hunted by the Trandoshans. When Ahsoka makes it back to the temple she tells Anakin that she only survived because of his training. Other Padawans didn't make it back, but she did, because he pushed her harder and further than anyone else. I also really love the parallel of her defeating the Inquisitor in 3 moves, the same way Old Ben beat Maul, showing how she picked up several qualities from him. If they made a Season 2, I'd want to see a set Post Order 66 story about Barriss or Ventress. I've never read the stuff about Kanan/Caleb so I can't speak to that, but unless someone has a link showing otherwise, I bet E.K. The fight also gave me Obi-Wan vs Maul (Rebels) vibes, she just anticipated all his moves, and just took him out like 1-2-3.... Ahsoka is my favorite SW character, and I just loved getting to know her a bit better.... Especially the 1x5 episode, where Anakin tells her that he is her master, and is responsible for her safety, and the best way to protect her is to teach her to protect herself.... He basically gave her the tools and training to survive Order 66, WITHOUT EVEN knowing it.... He might have known subconsciously, and just acted on a "hunch".... But her walking out on the hangar floor, with all the clone troopers in Ahsoka helmet.... Man, that just killed me a little inside....

I've read the Ahsoka novel multiple times, love it. I'm a bit disappointed with how little we got in the last episode, but at the same time, I also understand that if you actually wanted to show the whole novel, it would probably be its own mini series. It's not something you could do in a short 20 minute episode. I think it was good enough for the time they had, even though it wasn't even the same story exactly.

Ahsoka post 66 to Rebels is a long time, some would say 14-16 years. And the Empire pretty much has a jumbo roll of (Disposable) Inquisitors post 66. The novel could still be a separate story. You don't think Kenobi spent 10 years just cutting meats while in hiding? Too many are jumping the blaster claiming the 6th episode here "erases" some filler character from Ahsoka's novel. Filoni brought Thrawn back into canon. This lack of faith is extremely disturbing.

The mystic element in "Life and Death" was beautiful. Yea! "Practice Makes Perfect" and "Resolve" were just layers of meaning to me, plus what it adds to the characters, and it was as poetic as it can get. Instantly realized they were taking pages of E.K. I think that especially since we don't see Ahsoka with her lightsabers, this could have happened fully before the events of the novel! And although this short shows us the birth of as Ahsoka as Fulcrum, she still has a lot of her own journey to do before that roll takes its full shape.

Ahsoka did wander a bit, specifically she leaves a family with a force sensitive child getting the Inquisitors snooping around to follow her off planet. As for if this is just another place I don't think so, on the one hand Ahsoka does have two white sabers so it's probable that she met and ended two Inquisitors but the story of Tales follows the book beats so perfectly it seems unlikely to be a different story. I would also say it doesn't replace the book as again it's the same story, you can just say the book is a more detailed version of events.

Oh shit, having you guys mention Ventress, what if they could tell the story of Ventress and Quinlan Vos through this? Or the other stories from the unfinished episodes of Clone Wars like Boba and Cad Bane, just shorten them a bit (though I want them to do full episodes). But yeah, I also want them to expand more with this, like you don't need to stay within the Clone Wars/Galactic Republic era. Since we're starting High Republic era, maybe could do some stuff with that or even go as far something with Luke, in CW animation, after Return of the Jedi. Like maybe Luke exploring and learning more about the Jedi of the past and having him grow more into a Jedi Master similar to his EU counterpart. I'm just excited to see more. Now I also want another show like this but of the Sith. It could be called "Sith Legends" cause, ya know, Darth Plagueis "it's not a story the jedi would tell you. It's a Sith Legend". And like, you could use that to show us Darth Bane coming up with the Rule of 2, show us some Sith infighting and stuff. Hell, they already had Hamill voice Darth Bane in season 6, have him do it again. Also, just gotta mention how this is the first Inquisitor we see in CW animation and he looked so good. Sucks he died so quickly but its Ahsoka he went up against. Still, easily my favorite Inquisitor design.

I can't believe Kybucks are a game animal. Most places they are a beast of burden. Yoda rode one into battle. Their speed and agility allows them to even keep up with speeder bikes. An animal like that has to be lean as hell and they wont have much body fat unless they are like dear and graze and save food during the winter where they are nice and fat. But by the looks of this one you need five or six to feed a village. I get that people actually eat horses cause oxen do more work. There must be a better game animal than those. Look and the Saber Cat, no way in hell that thing is chasing down a Kybuck so something else must provide greater sustenance. Something like a boar comes to mind. Anything small enough for one women to carry through the forest is not going to feed a family for very long.
